The adventure of the week was my first half marathon… Just a try, alone as training, was intended to be a slow long run and ended as my first half :) pace below any decent pace but the target was to do it. Rest of the weekend will be recovery.
It’s a long weekend in Canada which means a long ride Saturday, run Sunday, and bonus long ride on Monday! :)

I am just home from Bilbao Triathlon, and my 920XT refuses to boot (the boot cycle of death!) I am trying all sort of hard resets and button combinations, but the thing seems to be gone for good.

Moscow Half Marathon tomorrow!
This weekend we did the inaugural “Surf, Turf n Tar” Half Marathon in Rosscarbery, Cork, Ireland. Some of the best fun I’ve ever had running.
It had roads. It had a pontoon bridge across a sea inlet. It had cliff paths, dunes, a castle, forests, fields and more sand. Sooo much soft sand. It alternated between blazing sun and lashing rain.
Both calves seized up but it didn’t matter.
And then we got home and realised the medals were made of chocolate. A perfect end to the day.
First real mountain bike ride of the year – woohoo!
This weekend I biked for 30 KM and run 10K in the evening. I am preparing for my first onlympic triathlon. So I will be more than glad for a new watch :)
