Have some fun in the travel section.
I travel a fair bit, both for work and for fun. Here’s a bunch of random trip reports and daily trip-logs that I’ve put together and posted. I’ve sorted it all by world geography, in an attempt to make it easy to figure out where I’ve been.
My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily

A Garmin Forerunner 945 for me, please.
Edge 830, Ray’s description on the bike radar sold me on it. Currently using my Fenix 5 as my primary cycling computer which is great, but on longer rides there are only so many navigation points the Fenix 5’s memory can handle.
I would love a power meter for Father’s day.
Watch time
Probably a Vector 3
Would certainly be tempted to get into the power meter game….which type of PM would be the million (or $500) dollar question!
FR945…. Because my watch is a 910xt.
I would love a new power meter!
Fenix 5X Plus for sure!
GoPro Hero 7 Black
Just bought a Garmin Vivoactive 3 (as a sort of “uprgade” for my 920xt), but it would be even better if I get a chance for a brand new 945.
The Suunto 9, for those long days
Maybe a new trainer. Or a new cycling computer. Maybe a Garmin or a Wahoo.
Haven’t been running consistently in a while and its time for a new gps watch.
Either a Forerunner or the Favero Assioma. My forerunner 220 begin to feel quite old and I need power outdoor, not just indoor on my trainer !
Don’t think I will be the lucky one as always, but keep trying. What about the new Wahoo Roam or Garmin Edge 830?
gopro hero 7 for the next ride
Perhaps a new Garmin watch.
Would get the Garmin Forerunner 935 to help me train for my first marathon!
I would love to pick up a new power meter or Go Pro
Edge 520 because my Garmin is really really old and a Powermeter
I would like to replace my Edge 510 with a new Edge.
I would get a camera for my bike, I see strange things and no one believes me. I could be delirious too.
Probably a Forerunner 945 ’cause I love new gadgets that make me think I’ll perform better. Which has never, nor probably never will work, but that’s beside the point :-)
A Tacx neo would go great in my pain cave because the Kurt kinetic is starting to show its age ;).
New power meter of course. Or I’d buy a new trainer :)
What’s better?
a) Raptors winning NBA title
b) Father’s Day this weekend
c) DCR giveaway
d) All of the above
And since Ray said to name a product: Edge 830, FR945 or a trainer…decisions, decisions…
Thanks Ray and team!
I could use a KickR Core to complete the Pain Cave.
My husband spends a lot of time on the road in different time zones and I’d love to gift him a new watch for Father’s Day. He takes good care of us and we like to take good care of him.
I would get a power meter for my gravel bike – why not?
Favero Assioma. Have power on the trainer, want it outdoors too!
I’d be torn between getting Assioma pedals and a FR945… the F3 is getting a little long in the tooth!
The list is soooo long .. but top three would be Edge 830, Forerunner 935, and final option would be to get the Varia rear light just to feed my riding/driver anxiety.
Mike
A Fenix so I can own Shield mountain
I think my dad would want me to buy a Garmin Forerunner 245 Music for my girlfriend and spend the leftovers on some cycling gear for me :-)
Aerobars b/c I need to be able to get out of the wind.
If I won I’d get my dad a new forerunner 945. He’s got the 235 which is starting to show its age and he keeps complaining about it bonking out on him.
Hello! My old Fenix 3 is completely in need of an upgrade, so I’m entering and crossing my fingers, Thanks, and have a great weekend.
It would be cool to get a Fenix 5 Plus so i can listen to music on my summer runs.
The new Forerunner 945 would be a great replacement of my old (but great as well) Fenix 3 no HR.
A new GPS watch. My 920 is starting to go…
I would go for FR 945 bundle, because it is blue!
Garmin 830 because my 520 is sooooo old
I’m a walker, so anything would be great
Probably some new cycling gear… maybe put it toward a new bike computer or power meter. They apparently have archery stuff as well, so there’s always that.
A brand new Gopro Hero 7 to replace my old hero 4.
I would love a Powermeter
I will be a dad soon and I think that a Garmin 530 will make me a better cyclist, and a better cyclist would make you a better father…right…?
I thinking about a Garmin 945
Fenix 5X
A treadmill?
I’d get the new gopro. BTW, i’m realy thankful that “anywhere on earth” qualifies, as i`’m crossing the equator at this very moment on a ship:) Greetings and good luck to all!
A new GoPro to replace my broken one would be great.
A GoPro 7 for sure
I’d take either a pedal power meter or the latest GoPro.
Battery in my Edge 520 is going, so how about a new Edge 530?
Just a pair of running shoes?
I would get a new bike computer to repalce my old garmin.
New action camera, Go Pro more than likely, for my running trip to Arizona.
Thanks ray and thanks Clever Training
A power meter for my new road bike
Definitely the 945 for me. Maps, music and payments – whats not to love !?
I’d love a new GoPro to get all that steady film footage goodness.
I’d love a smart trainer or a FR945 to upgrade from my vivoactive hr
I would go for a Garmin Edge 830 -to get rid of my cabled speed meter.
I have FR935. So, maybe FR945 or something different.
A gps watch with mapping so my trail runs are not 4 km longer than they should be
I would go for a new Suunto Ambit 3 Peak since it is a good stuff :)
Yeah… Vector 3S would be mine!
The perfect time to get my first GoPro.
I would get the Polar Vantage V. After many years, my V800 is starting to look a bit battle worn from the various off-road adventures and training.
With 500 bucks I would finally take the plunge and buy a gopro to record all my awesome OCR achievements
I would like to get a Garmin Vector 3 Power Meter to replace my PowerPod. Or a Wahoo KICKR trainer for winter. Tough choice.
I would step into the world of smart trainers so that my wife and I could bike “together” instead of sharing one trainer.
$500 in GU
Looking to get a replacement Garmin Edge either a 1030 or 830!
I’d love to get an edge 530+varia radar combo.
Thank you very much Ray!
Hope you’re going to have a nice weekend
I’d love a new head unit to replace my ageing Edge 810!
I would love to upgrade to the FR945. My current Garmin is on it’s last leg.
My swimming technique really needs improvement and a GoPro would be indispensable in analysing all the faults…
I’d really like to get the Favero Pedals.
Either a Garmin Edge 830 or power meter (probably pedals) would be great!
Forerunner 945 or an action cam…… Tough call :D. Definitely one of the two!
I’d buy a Garmin Forerunner 945 since my 935 recently decided to stop recording elevation & always reads 115 degrees :(
Garmin Fenix 5 Plus Sapphire Black on Black to give my running aspirations a boost
A non-Garmin head unit. I’m tired of the routine upload and Livetrack failures.
I would get a FR945 for my next tri
thanks
I would love to send my good ol’ 920XT to – well deserved – retirement and replace it with a 945. :)
Also, it’s quite exactly 500$, what a nice coincidence.
I’d get a new forerunner to finally get rid of the heart rate strap
Probably get a power meter
Garmin 945 – because my version of “The Girl” needs a new watch.
Garmin edge 530. Those Trailforks features would complement my new mtb!
Was thinking of a new GoPro – new adventures ahead…
I would purchase a power meter for cycling!
Probably a power meter. Maybe.
A Polar Vantage V or M. It’s time for a sports watch upgrade.
Thank’s for the reviews! Everyone needs socks #sockdoping
Oh Pleeeeeease me! I happen to need a new Power Meter to replace an old failing unit!
I would get the Forerunner 945. I have a 935, but would like to have the maps and the updated heart rate sensor in the new version.
GoPro 7 or Garmin 530
Garmin 830 for ironman 70.3 training
