Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week – and almost to the end of spring. But more importantly, today is also National Strawberry Shortcake Day (Don’t trust me? Look it up.) Unfortunately, I don’t expect to eat any Strawberry Shortcake today. Or tomorrow. And sure, I could have titled this ‘Father’s Day Gadget Giveaway’, but some countries celebrate that on other weekends (lookn’ at you, Australia).
In any case, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in specific countries (Australia or otherwise). Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always. Also, I think we just need more cake holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away. It’s been far too long.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero 7 Black (which is actually $70 off through Sunday, the lowest we’ve seen it), to the just shipping new Stages Dash units, to a random pair of socks, the Garmin Forerunner 945, or heck, even towards a new power meter. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats…wait, update, they do!). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win). Or, you can leave a description of which product your dad would want for Father’s Day.
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (i.e. FR945), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, June 17th, 2019 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I would most likely replace my old suunto watch.
A garmin edge 1030 please for this dad.
The battery life of my edge 1000 is really becoming an issue on longer rides.
FR945, because my current Garmin watch needs an upgrade!
A new sports GPS watch would be nice.
The Garmin 1030 because my Edge 510 cried “UNCLE” about 30,000 miles ago
I’d use it for a new trainer or even a new GoPro. Thanks!
Go Pro 7 Catch the Kids rides, my rides holidays. could put my Hero Session on the back and 7 on the front.
Could get it just in time to regret not waiting for the GoPro 8 :)
A powermeter, definitely ?
Hi,
Maybe a GoPro or a boat ?
Garmin fenix 5 plus for hiking
A Cycliq Fly12 and Fly6 or GoPro to capture close passes or maybe a power meter would be good.
I’d love some/any brand power pedals. That and carbon wheels are the last two items on my list.
what would I want?
hmmmmm
Garmin Forerunner 305….because why not? I miss having a hampster on my wrist
I would love a Garmin Fenix 5
I would go for FR945 to change my 920xr
Even after reading the Garmin review, I’m willing to take a chance on a Forerunner 945
either a new saddle (because my current one is 9 years old) or helmet (because my current one is starting to become uncomfortable after 120 miles or so per week).
A Garmin 530 for my road bike would be great, and allow some trickle down tech to my son’s new road bike!
Garmin watch with music, not sure which one.
Garmin Edge 1030 – need som real maps for bike trips :-)
I would get a Forerunner 945. My Forerunner 35 is getting a bit long in the tooth.
Hi. Something Garmin…Fenix for good run!
Any prize would be a bonus…..not greedy ??
A Garmin 530 would be a nice upgrade from my 500
Hero Black 7 because I take a lot action videos while I’m out on the trails and this would help me document it.
All the socks!!!
I’ve got to find a GPS watch that handles power better than my Garmin.
I’d buy a GoPro Hero 7 because I haven’t been able to justify “another” GoPro and I like to be smoooooth!
Oh yeah, I’d like a new Garmin watch!
Garmin Virb – need to see where I’ve been.
I’d love to get to use an indoor trainer on rainy days.
A GoPro Hero 7 Black! My Sony AS-V30 is way too old! :-D
A (part of) a new bike. Happy with my 935, mostly for swimming and running. Since the watch do have a cycle option, I should use it more
A GoPro, because I’ve never had one.
I think a new Wahoo Roam (when they sort the little issue out) would be great
I’d get a Polar Vantage or a Garmin 945 ?
Fr 945 please because everyone loves a new watch, or is it just me?
Garmin Forerunner 945!
Power meter for me
It’s getting to the point that a $500 credit doesn’t buy what it used to thanks the Garmin
Still I saw the new inexpensive watch and it looked nice.
Could so use a power meter!
Would love to replace my dumb trainer with a smarter trainer
A decent HRM as I don’t trust the one I’ve got
Garmin Fenix 5 plus because I’m a watch junkie ?
A power meter for sure!
I’d get a bike computer for sure…and also some towards a new running watch.
Most likely Edge 830 or whatever cycling comp would fit neatly to that budget. Reason is simple, don’t have anything atm.
I’d love a power meter, would probably go for a set of Garmin vector pedals. That moment when I find out I’m not as powerful as I think
I need to upgrade my Garmin Vector 3S to… Well, it costs money to remove the S… :)
I’d love to get a new head unit for my bike. Garmin or Wahoo, still deciding.
One of those Stages Dash units looks pretty sharp! Although I record everything to my v800, I also (used to) backup my roadbike training with an old Cateye CC-CD300DW (with remote buttons that don’t really work well, but hey, got them dirt cheap) which likes to eat batteries like candy, so something like this might be nice in it’s place, although I do still like the accuracy of magnet sensors over GPS for my “backup” (in case I hit the wrong button on the v800 (or forget to “unpause…”.) That Dash M50 looks really nice, and now that the Polar H10 is supporting ANT+ transmissions, I can easily do honest-to-goodness dual-recording from all my (dual-transmission) sensors without BTLE juggling! One can dream!
I’d love to order the Garmin 5 Plus Titanium as a motivation back into peak fitness!
I need a new watch as my good old Suunto T6 is finally broken.
I‘d get my girlfriend a decent running watch, probably the Garmin Forerunner 245, as she doesn’t have a running watch so far but whenenver she knows distance/speed of her runs she is always super proud :)
Probably a GoPro Hero 7 Black to capture family adventures. Or maybe a new trainer?
Deffinetly the forerunner 945 !
I’d buy myself a bike computer and rear Varia radar, because 1) I have none of the above, 2) I’m fairly new to the sport of cycling but love it, and 3) I’m fairly new to the sport of cycling and I’m a bit leery of the traffic!
A new Garmin Edge would be wonderful for cycling, while a Forerunner 245 would be pretty neat for a lot of other stuff and as a general smartwatch. A difficult choice, but in the end I’ll go with the forerunner.
I could really do with a power meter
I’ll love to get a GoPro to film my bicycle trip
Definitely a dual sided 4iiii meter.
I’d grab my very first an action cam!!!! Hero 7 Black here I come!
Some form of action cam
That Forerunner 945 would be one nifty piece to get me closer to my goals!
I would get a Stages R8000 power meter or a new Garmin 530.
Definitely would go with a new Fenix.
A new Fenix
A turbo trainer, to get the hours in on the bike during what we’re laughably calling summer at the moment.
I would chose the Garmin 945, It will be perfect for me.
Hard to decide…
Probably GoPro Camera or Garmin equivalent.
For sure a power meter of some sort!
I’d get a new forerunner. My current running watch’s battery is on the decline, and I’m guessing I’ll be due for a replacement sooner rather than later.
I think I will get a Garmin 530, although I have a 810 I think it is time for upgrade and this seems to be the perfect unit
fenix 5
I would spring for a power meter to do better outdoor structured training.
Edge 530
Some Favero Assioma’s so I could train smarter and also be able to easily switch the power meter between bikes. Oh Yeah!
Forerunner 945, for my wife…
I would absolutely want a Fenix 5
I want the GoPro hero black. Do I deserve it? Probably not but hey it would be great to capture all the idiots out on the road.
Yes sir, please do! I need to upgrade my Garmin F3 to something with 24h HR because my heart rate seems weird these days.
Its hard to make a choice, but. Garmin Fenix 5 + would be sweet.
GoPro Hero 7 Black for sure, as it would work nicely with my livestreaming setup!
A powermeter for my cyclocross bike!
GoPro Hero7 Black for use with my bikes and drones!
If selected I would purchase the Garmin Forerunner 945. It would replace my very loved Garmin Forerunner 405CX that barely holds a charge these days.
Interested in a new Garmin fr645
I would get the Favero Assioma Duo Power Pedals. I’m a week away from picking up my new bike and would really like to begin training with power. I’ve been training with HR over the winter and noticed some remarkable improvements in my timed segments. Looking for a way to continue that improvement.
I’d totally love to get one of the new Garmin head units because mine is getting old…
Definitely looking forward to buying a new Power Meter. Still undecided on Garmin of PowerTap. Thanks again!
Garmin 945 for my dad
New Fenix watch so I can take music on the run without a phone!
Something versatile that can be used for different activities will be good.
looking at the Stac Zero trainer to cover days when dodging large metal projectiles directed by social surfers with a driving addition. Although a couple slaps of spam grilled sounds good about now too. ;-)
It would be cool to finally take some decent action shots with the GoPro Hero 7
A Garmin bike computer.
?
As of last week I’m in need of a new pair of shoes.
Fr 945 probably, because I haven’t had a watch since I was 20 years old
One of those awesome looking Hypervolt massage tools since I’m struggling with tight shoulders!
