Have some fun in the travel section.
I travel a fair bit, both for work and for fun. Here’s a bunch of random trip reports and daily trip-logs that I’ve put together and posted. I’ve sorted it all by world geography, in an attempt to make it easy to figure out where I’ve been.
My Photography Gear: The Cameras/Drones/Action Cams I Use Daily

Maybe 945, maybe a power meter, maybe a trainer? Who knows. Thanks Ray!
Fenix 5 until I saw the Hypervolt. Sign me up for that!
Will have to think about it… maybe powermeter or Garmin Forerunner 945. :)
Probably a drone – something I’d never justify buying for myself.
FR945, because my 920 has seen better days
I think maybe the 945 or a power meter.
Keep it up and thanks, Ray!
I will have to think about this, if I win.
Have too much bike stuff now.
But wait, what about a …
Garmin Edge 530 plus, but no idea why..
Carbon plated shoes for a bit more bounce! Or Garmin 945 to try out the competition…
Garmin Vector 3. I’ve been training with power on my KICKR, and would like to add it to my road cycling.
Nice! Looking to update my pain cave with a new “silent” indoor trainer that will prevent any meltdown or disturbance to my soon to be born daughter. Thinking on a Wahoo Kickr Core…one can only dream.
I would go for new helmet and some fancy apparel. Perhaps new boots too!
Hi Ray,
I’d love to get the Garmin Forunner 945. I do a lot of running and am toying with the idea of doing my first Triathlon next year.
Cheers
Thhis is my final chance to get some Favero Assioma goodness!
La montre Garmin fr945 pour remplacer la vieille Fenix 3hr. Je pourrai m’entraîner en vu de ma futur course la 6000d qui se déroulera à la plagne. Avec la musique et l’oxymetre je serais au top. Merci
Most probably a Forreruner 945 as I will soon have to think about a replacement for my current watch.
Probably a trainer or a Varia. Lets see ;-)
Really would like the DJI Mavic 2
A chest HRM to attach to my shiny new Polar Vantage Titan!
The 945 would be the perfect replacement of my (t)rusty V800.
FR 945 to replace my 920
I think it will be the Polar Vantage V.
I would use the funds towards acquiring a power meter; not even sure which one yet. I’m not sure if I will like looking at a depressingly low wattage number combined with an alarmingly high heart rate. But at least I will know.
I would probably get an FR945, because my current tri watch is lacking some essential features.
I would like to get a power meter, preferably the Favero Assioma.
A nice pair of power meter pedals
FR935 or FR945. Need a watch with a fresher battery to handle the winter temperatures – in 6 months it will be freezing:)
Hi,
I would like to grab a DJI Osmo pocket to capture some souvenir of each bike ride I have in Sweden.
And a Garmin Instinct…because why not.
Cheers,
Raphaël
I’m dad from about 4 months so a nice present is always welcome :) Update from fenix 3 hr would be good too :D
I would get a Garmin 945 to be able to measure my sleeping O2 saturation!
I really need a powermeter for my bike!
Probably the Fenix 5S+ or maybe GoPro HERO 7
I think I’d definitely go for a mish-mash of lots of smaller items, some new nutrition to try out, definitely a few recovery tools, like a roller etc… One thing that would certainly be on the list would be the Garmin Index Smart Scale. Despite some of its problematic features covered in your review, I am so fed up with my basic scale which shows nothing but weight and also seems to change its mind about how much I weigh every 2 minutes…
I keep being asked by work to arrange for time lapse photography, so at this point it has to be a new GoPro…
I would get a new watch, 935!
Garmin 945 just because… you know..
FR945 it would be. Or extra pair favero pedals
Wow, thats great. In Germany we had fathersday in the End of May 30.5.2019.
And i got some nice picture art from my son.
I would Like to get the Garmin 945 or 245 with or without music. I Like These nice geek running Features to analyze my Run.
Fenix5 for sure. To replace my old Vivoactive HR!! Thanks
A new powermeter (old one is broken) or cycling computer would be welcome.
Tom.
Probably a 945. Its lighter so I’m sure that will make me run faster than my fenix 5 plus
I’d go for a new trainer! Probably by wahoo and chip in the extra money myself.
A Suunto 9 baro, I need to hike hills and return
Edge 530 due the fact my daughter just pinched my 810.
Forerunner 945, because my Fenix 3 is starting to go downhill
Will get an Forerunner 945 to retire my old and dying Fenix 3.
Would likely go for a FR945
Can I get a smart trainer for $500.00 US?
Hard to decide, would probably have to toss a coin between 945 and Assioma!
GoPro camera so I can show people what I am seeing on my randonneuring rides through Ontario this summer and France in August.
I’d go for the new Suunto 5 and smart sensor, as my first GPS watch. Thanks!
I would get a tacx neo for next winter training!
The Forerunner 945, as I re-started training more recently and get more and more disappointed by my TomTom
I would buy a new Garmin for myself or maybe for my husband for Father’s Day – although his cookie delivery yesterday was his real gift!
I would choose an Edge 830, my Etrex 35 is a bit bulky.
A FR 920xt, Need a solid, reliable GPS, replacement for my rock hard 910xt.
I would order an upgrade kit for my Assioma Uno.
Series 4 Apple watch. Thanks also Ray.
I’d love to get a new Garmin 830 to replace my now somewhat elderly unit!
Garmin Vector 3 for better interval training.
I think garmin 530 or a power meter or both, because I need new gadgets to get motivated to use the bikes more..
GoPro to record my climbing rides.
A new cycle computer, 530 or 830.
My father would need something to monitor his activity now when he is old.
I’d probably upgrade my 935 to a fenix5s+, because more maps and less bezel would be nice
A new pioneer head unit.
Thanks
I’d get a set of ENVE SES 5.6s. Awesome job on the site!
Power meter will be nice, to improve my trainings.
The more numbers the better, hence a power meter would suit me just fine.
Maybe a Garmin 530, maybe the Garmin bike radar…..
I would enjoy one of the wahoo or garmin GPS computers to track my rides. My phone has just been too spotty lately.
I’d like a FR945, because I just love new gadgets.
Quite happy with my FR935 but a gadget fan can always use something new, thanks !
I would get a Forerunner 945 because I broke my Fenix 5.
I’d get a lifetime supply of honey stingers.
Most likely a Garmin Fenix 5S Plus to replace my Vivoactive HR which doesn’t log cycling power.
Socks for sure! Dotted socks, striped sock, flag socks!
On a second-thought.. maybe an edge 130 to pair with my fenix5+.. and the remaining in socks!
Dad wants a new Garmin 830 or 530. from Dad….
I think a GoPro Hero 7 so I can record my partner on her journey to becoming an awesome cyclist :)
I would go for the Garmin 1030. the bigger the better ;)
Fenix 5. Because my Forerunner 620 is starting to get very wonky
I would definitely get the Garmin Edge 830!
gopro hero7 for me :)
Definitely would like to upgrade my aging Phantom Vision+ to something I could actually take with me…
I’d actually like to get a power meter to complete my setup, or a cycling computer so I can leave my phone at home. Many choices…
Wahoo Smart Trainer, for sure!
I’m torn between getting a 945 or a GoPro. I want the new features of the 945 over my 935 but don’t want to deal with the bugs
A power meter to see those gainz from a winter of Zwift out on the road!
I think I would buy a watch.
I’m super excited about an action cam for an upcoming adventure trip!
Light and plastic 945 fantastic.
Fenix 5 Plus.. Tor De Géant, I’m coming! :)
Suunto 5 to give to my wife so she can track her ultras.
I think I would go for an action camera like a GoPro (or possibly a 360 cam). I would love go get some shots during training or on vacation in situations where you don’t want your phone to get wet or damaged for example.
I’d love to get the FR945 because it will make me faster in races. Right?
Fenix 5 plus
Probably get a power meter
I would buy a Garmin 945 Music or a Garmin Fenix 5 plus
While I’m mostly happy with my non-music Garmin Forerunner 645, I would upgrade to a model with music and the ability to record HR during swim sessions.
A new gps watch because DC Rainmaker is making it possible
Garmin Fenix because my old ones doesn’t work anymore
Probably go for a Wahoo Elemnt Roam or Stages M50 – nice decisions to make ??
