Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I would buy an Fenix 5 so that I can continue to track my running and record my skiing holiday next month :-)
I love that you do this!! I would buy a Garmin FR 935. I have a FR 235 now and have been super happy with it. But I am moving into the world of triathlons and need something more swim capable. It’s just not in the budget…yet.
A new trainer. I am still using my Compu-trainer from 2001 and though it’s a beast and gets the job done would love to be able to use trainer road or swift.
I would buy a nice trainer to be able to play with my new vr (Zwift). Not that much VR but still. Looking forward to it.
I would definitely go with a crank based power meter. Which bike to put it on would be the difficult decision.
GoPro Hero6, because of the pixels!
Who would not want a sweet Fenix 5 just because :)
Wahoo Elemnt – largely because I’m tired of the Garmin 520
I would get a forerunner 935 to record my running and my swimming, It would be great to know my HR when swimming!!
I’d purchase a Wahoo trainer. Thanks for sponsoring the giveaway.
I would like to get a Gropro. Making sure the adventures re getting better documented.
Maybe I’d get a stryd, because I want to start running with power.
Vector 3. Want to get rid of the pod.
Hey Ray, Happy Australia Day!
I would spent my 500 credits on Garmin 935 as I just need it in my life. Fingers crossed for everyone though.
Cheers!
I would purchase a Garmin Forerunner 645 Music to replace my original Garmin Vivoactive. The additional metrics provided by the FR645 would help me become a more efficient runner which adds to the enjoyment of running.
Power to the people, err the bike!! Yes, the bike needs power!
I would get the Garmin 935 in order to back my training with more data.
I’d go for a Suunto Spartan Sport Wrist Heart Rate + Baro.
I love my Ambit II and I’d never go back to Garmin. But after many years of flawless use the buttons are starting to stick.
I’d probably go for the Vector Power Pedals, Either that or upgrade the trainer….
Either a Garmin 520 or 820 or a Wahoo Bolt.
I’d get the newest gopro…because mine is so old now!
I want the Garmin 530!
I would get the FR 645 so I can listen to music on my run!!
Suunto Spartan Ultra …
Definitely a Vector would be on the radar. Seems to be the most convenient for moving from bike to bike.
Garmin Vector 3S
I’ve never has a power system on my bike but always dreamt about it!!
I’d get the Garmin Edge 1030 and the external battery pack so I can use it for the Dirty Kanza this summer. The course and navigation features makes the race so much easier.
Hero6
I would get GoPro camera! I would love to record some video shots from my runs. Sure, I can do it with phone too but having dedicated gear with some gimbal would definitely help the quality!
Garmin Power Meter!!!
If I had a choice it would be the new Fenix 5S
Great timing for this give-away Ray (now that rhymes well huh). I’d go with a new bike computer as my Garmin Edge has reached its eol. Still undecided tho if I’d be upgrading to a new Edge or the Wahoo Bolt. Hope to win. Thanks!
i am cyclist so Garmin Vector 3 power meter
I’d get the new Garmin 645. Why? I only run so the 935 is over kill.
I’d get the Garmin 935!
I want a Forerunner 645 Music, to listen music via Bluetooth earphones while running! :-)
A bike computer (garmin or wahoo) and optical hr strap. I think.
Garmin 520 – my 510 is getting a bit long in the tooth.
I’d love a Wahoo bolt!
Garmin Forerunner 935, because I need improve my running technique, and also this year is my big comeback to race :)
I’d go for some sort of ERG trainer so that it’ll force me to stop slacking off during workouts!
I think I’ll get a Suunto Spartan Ultra or something like that, because I need a GPS watch with barometer for my trail running.
I want a garmin 935 because its smaller, lighter and has a better battery than my 910, but my wife thinks I shouldn’t wast the $500.
Just had to warranty exchange my Fenix 3. So if the refurb unit seems stable I’d probably go power meter, otherwise I’d update my watch.
I want a GoPro, to record my MTB crash! :-)
Garmin 935 would be good improvement to my gear.
I would definitely use the money for a power meter! I don’t know if it will make me a better triathlete for sure, but at least I can look the part :)
I think I would go for a Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals because with power come great responsibility. Hum maybe i will have to rethink that one.
The sunnto Spartan hr. I have the ambit 3 peak and have been very happy with it, the Spartan would hopefully be as accurate and reliable with an updated interface.
I’d go for a power meter!
A decent new trainer, for sure! I need a bike cave in my new house.
Elemnt Bolt!
Vector 3 to upgrade my power meter
Not even a seconds hesitation here. The Wahoo Kickr Snap would be my choice.

One of the new Suunto’s and some gifts for people I know.
I would get a Garmin Fenix 5 to replace my old Forerunner.
Yahoo GPS since my old Garmin has stopped working.
Would be a new trainer for me. The Wahoo KICKR is much more manageable with a $500 credit and would be a huge upgrade over my $100 dumb fluid trainer I’m riding now!
Keep up the good work Ray!
Excellent Friday! I’d look to get a Suunto Spartan and some new Cycling clothes.
I would get the Wahoo Element Bolt, hoping to have a bike GPS for my upcoming cycling holiday.
I would get the Garmin FR 645M so I could run without my phone!
I’d get the Garmin Fenix 5s, it would be handing for my trail training to eventually enter into a 30K trail run.
Probably the Hero6. Would be great to shoot some downhill-action!
I would use the prize to put towards a smart trainer. Either a Tacx or one of the Wahoo ones. I would like to have a more immersive experience on a trainer, and even with zwift, my cheap dumb trainer is just unpleasant to train on.
Garmin Vector 3 pedals would finally close the uncertainty that comes with using a smart trainer indoors and also allow power training outside when spring arrives ~43179.5104. Every ride I perform the necessary calibration (tire pressure, tension knob tightening, warm-up, spindown) and I still feel like I get different power levels with the same perceived levels of effort in Zwift, TrainerRoad, etc. (especially when comparing heart rate while running vs. biking). The only way I see getting around this is to get a power meter!
I’d fancy a new trainer or Garmin Forerunner 645 for the wife coz you know, Valentine’s Day ;)
Probably a nice forerunner upgrade
Bike computer as I need to get out and rolling.
Hero 6 for me I think because I want it more than a new Garmin. Or do I? Only one way to find out.
I mostly run, rarely bike, so never could really justify buying cycling comp. But if free, then maybe I would finally get one…
Definitely a smart trainer to get me through the rest of winter. Elite direto, tacx flux? How do I choose? Hopefully I can find some great resource out their on the internet with a good comparison tool ;-)
Would enjoy the Garmin Vector 3 power meter to switch between my road and tri bike.
It would be between getting a power meter for my new CX bike, or grabbing a Wahoo Bolt. Thanks!
Pretty happy with my Garmin 235, so I might look at the Elite Direto Interactive Cycling Trainer.
I could use some good wool socks, so the CEP Men’s Progressive+ Ski Merino Socks are on my list, and also a warm sleeping bag for chilly nights camping (Western Mountaineering MegaLite Navy Blue Right Zip Down Sleeping Bag 30F) and a Big Agnes sleeping pad for extra comfort and protection.
Fly6 CE and Fly12 CE. Preferably stuffed, for safety’s sake.
I would go for a new GoPro.
Looking for a new bike computer
I’d put a down payment on a set of Assimoa Duos
Fenix 5 as I just killed my old Forerunner
I would put this towards a kickr snap trainer for my father-in-law, to help him get training indoors as his job makes daylight very scarce this time of year.
GoPro Hero 6, to try and document the fun part of training so many hours per week.
Garmin Forerunner 935, your reviews have sold me on this watch, time for me to upgrade from my 305
I’d get the Elite Direto trainer (or a Wahoo Kickr) since I have become addicted to TrainerRoad over the winter and want an upgrade from my Fluid2.
I’d go for the new Garmin 645 music to replace my aging 310XT + Ipod shuffle combo
Vector 3s so I can get that power data accurately while powering up some hills in the freezing Irish weather.
I would buy a Fenix 5s or Vivoactive 3 for my lovely wife.
I would like a Garmin Fenix 5 Sapphire, because I need a replacement for my Garmin 310xt. :-)
I think I’d be looking at a Garmin Fenix!
I’d get a Garmin Edge 520 because my current bike computer is no longer pairing up with the the wheel sensor and it’s super freaking annoying.
i would use it toward a Garmin Fenix. Thanks for your great and in-depth reviews.
With a newborn and a full time job…I need a power meter for bike training. That is all.
A shiny new set of Garmin Vector 3 pedals sure would look good on my bike!
definitley a powermeter. Or a FR935. Or a GoPro. For sure.
I’d have to go with a new Garmin Fenix watch – my 235 isn’t cutting it for 14+ hour efforts. Thanks, Ray!
I would probably upgrade to a direct drive trainer. Tacx neo or cyclops hammer
Some watch because i don’t have one.
The Garmin 935 would make an excellent birthday present.
I would get a Garmin VIRB 360, just because it’s awesome!
