Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’d like the Garmin 935, my 920 is slowly dying and I need a replacement soon :)
It’s about time I replaced my Fenix 3 Sapphire with a shiny new Fenix 5!
Vector 3’s or maybe a watch. I’ve been on the fence for awhile about a power meter, and my ambit 2 needs replacing.
I’d probably get a gopro because my last one fell in the ocean (before they were waterproof!).
I’d get an FR645 Music, as it looks to have almost everything I need. ;)
Hmm…tough decision. I recently bought the forerunner 935 and it is almost everything I ever wanted..
Garmin Running Dynamics Pod & Garmin HRM Tri to complete it or seperate bike computer… Not sure yet.
Is that allowed? ;)
I’d get gopro 6, just need one for mtb events
a smart trainer, probably the Direto. Lots of great features for an ever better price!
I’d get a new Garmin watch for my wife. Probably the new 645 Music.
Hmm. Maybe a smart trainer or power meter.
I’d love to get a Fenix, just to be able to time my runs a bit better.
It’s finally time to get a GoPro! Thanks!
Hi,
I would get the garmin 935. Swim bike run. Maybe a go pro.
Thanks.
A power meter for smarter training out on the road.
I would purchase the Garmin Vectr 3 pedals to help my coach track my cycling metrics as I prepare for my first Ironman 70.3.
Almost certainly the 645 with music. I’m looking for a smartwatch type deal I can wear even when I’m not working out and my current 920XT isn’t exactly a looker. I run without my phone so it’ll be nice to have Garmin Pay as a safety net just in case I need some hydration mid-run, especially in the summer months.
I’d get a Garmin Edge 1030 in hopes of less getting lost on long, rambling rides. Because while getting lost can be fun, sometimes you’d like to get home in time for dinner.
I’d be torn between replacing my cruddy Fenix 3 that has never really gotten good GPS lock and getting a decent Edge bike computer…because the quick release watch approach just ain’t cutting it anymore.
Garmin Vector 3 all the way!
Kickr 2017. I’ve got an OG one from 2014 but want to get in on the CLIMB action
I’d go for Garmin Vector 3, as want to measure the real power not just statistics anymore…
It is well past time to get a new trainer for my wife…so, I’d use the credit to subsidize a quality trainer for her. IF not that, then I truly don’t know…..maybe a new Garmin watch for her.
Just bought vector 3 from clever training..but eh, i’ll use it towards a new garmin head unit then!
Hi Ray, great to see another giveaway.
I would put the credit towards a power meter, likely Vector 3. I am finding the power measurements very useful when winter training indoors and would like to use them when riding outside in spring, summer and fall.
I would get a couple GoPro Hero5 Session cameras to use on my bike to document my training and racing as well as to capture any accidents or close calls.
Garmin Fenix so I can upload workouts easier.
Thanks for this DCR. Garmin Edge or Fenix 5 or both not sure which exactly yet but I love anything Garmin.
Fenix 5 is the likely choice for me
I would get the Vector 3 because they finally are bluetooth, BAM…
and probably other cool stuff as well.
I need to up my bike training so I would pick a Garmin Vector 3
P2M/Quarq, going full power (just sold my Stages).
I really need an upgrade to a newer Garmin with integrated HR monitor, any model will do :-)
Seeing as how I just ordered a Kickr Snap- and already have a Power meter. I’m leaning towards one of the mavics!
Hey! I figured why not comment right? LOL Right!
It’s gotta be the GoPro Fusion for me! I purchased 2 GP Hero 5 Blacks with a Karma grip last year for my wedding & honeymoon. And I was blown away at the quality!!! I’ve since upgraded one of them for a Hero 6 Black and actually it’s my go to camera these days. I also play in a local band called Drop Dead Famous (yep, iTunes and Spotify if you’d like to have a taste < hope you don't mind that plug lol). But I thought getting a Fusion and having that 360 degrees to cut into 2 other static GP's would be AWESOME! So that's definitely my pick!
I’d upgrade to a smart trainer because no one likes their trainers dumb.
I’d go for a Go Pro Hero 6 to be able to make good quality action videos.
A GoPro to take with me on my trailruns
500$ worth of pink socks! Makes you run faster… I think.
Thanks, Ray! I’d pick the Garmin 645 music for my wife, which also means I get to borrow it sometimes. :)
Would live to upgrade my Fenix 3…the big advantage would be the optical HR info. I would love to get some data that I’m just not getting from the few times I wear the Heartrate strap.
oh, and the maps on the 5X might help me find my way home..
Thanks Ray!
I’ve been wanting a crank power meter, so this would go a long way.
Any available smart turbo for the 500 so the missus can enjoy training to power too
I would go for a Garmin Fenix 5, I do a lot of running, skiing, and hiking. I have a forerunner 220 so it would be nice to have a watch that can have more modes than just running!
I would definitely go with the cycliq camera/light. Can never be to safe and you never know what you will come across while on the road!!
Forerunner 645. I don’t do sport. But my wife has signed me up for a half marathon. I need whatever help I can get
I’d love to have a new power meter! Thanks!
garmin fenix 5 so i can start tracking my workouts again!
I’d get a new running GPS watch, on my 2nd Garmin Fenix3 now and hvaing trouble again with it connecting to satellites. Probably buy a 235.
Garmin forerunner 645 so i can listen to music on the run!
Power meter +/- new computer!
I would get a Garmin Vector 3 Power Meter because I have always been interested in training with power but the price is a big deterrent.
I would buy a gift for my hubby or purchase an aero helmet and/or aerobars.
I would love a Forerunner 935 for IM Choo!
Garmin edge 800 because my wife took my 500!
Hi Ray
I would get a new go pro, I am thinking on going scuba diving
for my first year wedding anniversary
garmin fenix 5. I needs a new watch sooo bad
I would buy a Garmin 935 for my wife, since I already have one.
Thanks Ray, I would go for a power meter, not sure yet which one.
Thanks alot
I would love to be able to train with Power (in Jeremy Clarkson voice).
I’d love to give that Vector 3 a spin. I’m still on the fence as to power meters.
I would go to upgrade my old FR210 for a Fenix 5 or FR935
Fenix 5S, because I need a new watch.
Suunto Spartan Ultra. Because it’s bracelet color geolocates you better than the gps. Thanks Ray!
A Polar M600. Since I am an Android user and fan, I would like to have a fitness watch designed to work with that operating system.
I would love to have a direct drive trainer. Or maybe a new a new GoPro or a zillion pairs of socks.
I would get a set of Garmin Vector 3 pedals
It would be the perfect time to finally get me a power meter, probably the Garmin vector
I’d may go for an upgrade from my Fenix2 to another Garmin GPS that supports new metrics… Probably fenix5
Either the 935 or money towards a decent electronic trainer.
Garmin FR935 for me – my 920xt is ready to be upgraded.
Direct drive trainer is my pick, but not sure which yet. I’m still using an ancient, creaky trainer that could wake the dead. Replacing that would be a real sanity saver!
Vivoactive 3 – time to upgrade my original Vivoactive
Garmin Forerunner 935 – My previous Garmin (Vivoactive HR) water seal failed in the pool last week and … well, they don’t work too well after that. Talked to Garmin, their replacement offer wasn’t too generous. Thought it was time to upgrade. Might as well upgrade properly. :-)
New watch that connects to GPS more quickly!
I’d go for the Forerunner 935, seems a lighter-weight but fully featured alternative to the Fenix 5
I would like to have Garmin Forerunner 935,this watch is perfect for runnig and other sports, and i hope i will have better results with.
I think I would likely grab myself a solid power meter. Why? Because I don’t have one! Also I might grab some new socks because running socks are bomb.
A New watch would be lovely my 910 needs a replacement
I would love the new vector 3 to replace my aging power2max.
I’m interested by the Scosche since my Mio Link just gave up but I will be ready to use something else …
I would get a wahoo Elemnt Bolt, or two!
I would look out for a new Fenix 5, because I like the smaller size better than that bulky f3. So I can wear it all day long.
It is about time to replace my good ol’ Garmin Edge 500 (shows battery at 100% all the time).
I am leaning towards Wahoo Elemnt Bolt.
I need a new 935xt to replace my old and big 920xt ?
Hi Ray – the Garmin 935 cause having the latest stuff is cool.
Think I’d put it towards a wahoo kickr. Need pickup my training!
Thanks for the opportunity – I would get the latest GoPro Hero6 Black to upgrade my current camera arsenal.
Definitely a Garmin Vector 3. Reliable power on both bikes easily!
Would love an etap
I think I would go for the Garmin Vector 3 pedals, because they rocks!
I’d get stryd for running with power and more accurate pacing and distance while trail running.
My Polar M400’s display is growing dim, so I’ve really been eying something new… Something that new Suunto Spartan-Wrist-Heart rate-Outdoor variation despite its clunky name would be nice.
Wahoo Bolt! Need a Bike GPS/computer and by all recent accounts is the best bang for the buck!
i’d probably got right to the top and get a forerunner 935 or kick-in some extra for a fenix5s
I would get the new vector 3 pedals from Garmin! They look amazing and so streamlined. Thanks Ray keep it up.
I’d get a Fenix 5, it’s a dream.
Thank you Ray. My Garmin 800 is still performing fantastically, but I think I’d like to check out the new 1030.
Would get a power meter to improve my training…
I think it is time to upgrade my 920XT to a Fenix series…
Definitely getting the hero 6. I need that waterproof puppy in my life!
