Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

I’d probably get myself a nice Vector 3s. Why? Because I’d like to replace my Vector 2 with something that can also communicate over BLE, not because I particularly NEED BLE, but because I like to future proof my more expensive purchases, and I’d like to have the chance to offload the Vector 2 whilst it’s still worth a reasonable amount.
As for why the 3s, and not the 3? It comes in below the $AU1000 customs limit, and hence I wouldn’t have to pay GST and other fees and charges to get it into the country. I’d pick up the upgrade pedal a little while down the road. (Does the upgrade pedal come with a left side blank pedal, thereby effectively giving you a spare pair of Look Keo compatible pedals?)
I’m in need of a new power meter! New toys to keep the morale high whilst cycling endless loops in SG haha. Maybe a Vector 3 would be attainable.
Thanks DCR. Had my eye on several things; Cycliq Fly12 and Fly 6 cams/lights would be nice though. Have a great day
I’d offset the cost of some Garmin vector 3 pedals. I have had remarkable luck in expanding the bike stable despite a wife genetically predispositioned to say “no” and a power meter that can easily change between bikes would be brilliant.
Fenix 5, to replace my fenix 3.
I’d probably use the credit toward a pair of fitness trackers for my wife and me. Probably a pair of Vivoactive 3s.
Me please!
I’d very much like some Vector 3 pedals!
Hero6 to capture ski wipeouts
I really need to upgrade my watch so the Garmin FR935 would be on my wishlist!
Altough its name, I think the Suunto Spartan Trainer with its outdoor lookings is very attractive, come to me please :). Thanks DCR
I’d get the Garmin Fenix 5S. I’ve been eyeing it for a while, but it’s outside of my budget now.
Fenix 5x to track my workouts better.
Replacing my old trainer with a elite direto would be nice.
GoPro Hero6. A like a camera for sport, and for motorcycle.
I’d get a gopro hero 6, just for fun.
I NEED a Garmin Fenix 5 to replace my Fenix 3 and get heart rate info
Garmin Vectors!!
Definitely need a new watch but haven’t decided on Garmin Vivoactive or go full bore and get the 920. Oh the choices.
Edge 820 or 1030 for me
Garmin Forerunner 935, because my Fenix 5 is having lot of troubles to connect to my Stryd powerpedometer.
Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals for me. (Although I’m really waiting for Garmin to come out with SPD power pedals…but I’m not holding my breath).
I would love the Go-Pro as i have always admired but never been able to afford. would be great for social rides and in the pool with the kids when on holiday. Thanks Rainmaker.
I would like to get RunScribe Plus so I can understand better and improve my running style
a power meter would be fine
Garmin FR935 for my frend would be a nice gift :)
I‘ll try one of the running power meters. If only there were a good online resource comparing them ;-)
Or a Fenix 5.
Or both. Wait…
I’d get a forerunner 935. I have an Apple Watch which is great from everyday notifications and basic fitness, but I’m looking for a next level fitness watch with more comprehensive capabilities.
Because my Polar watch has just died and the V800 successor’s nowhere to be seen, I think I’d go for a Suunto Spartan Sport HR Baro.
I would go with the Forerunner 645 music, because it has music!
I’m torn between a GoPro or to beef up my camping gear, so many options! I think I’d put it towards a GoPro so I could get back into making the videos I used to love in college.
I would get a pair of Powertap P1 Pedale for my girl so she can bring her training to the next level.
Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals. I love these power pedals. They would fit my bike :D
Thanks for another giveaway. I think it would have to be a Forerunner 935 to try and improve my running, or probably to help me spend more time looking at even more stats ;-)
Definitely the Garmin 935 because there’s no way the wife would let me buy one to replace my 305!
Dear Raymaker I would really like a gopro or an new garmin watch so many decisions.
Forerunner 935 to have power on a watch and thanks
I’d go for a Suunto Spartan Trainer – would love to have a watch with a multisport option!
hmmm … probably a new trainer …
Good to see you’ve made it to Perth! I would get the Favero Assioma dual sided pedals because its dual sided power, easily transferable between bikes, a great price and I need a power meter!
I’ll probably get the new Scosche Rhythm 24 or Wahoo Tickr Fit. And perhaps something else!
I’m looking to buy the Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals, as an option for my Cannondale (don’t wanne loose the cannnondale spider). So I can train better for Climbing against MS.
But they are an expensive option, so everything helps.
If I don’t win you can always donate some euros on my teams page ;)
If most likely buy a Forerunner 935 to replace my aging 310
I’d get the Go Pro hero 6 – because selfie :-)
I’m always a follower of stunt devices and I want to get the new Suunto Fitness or then spartan baro thank you
I would like to get a garmin edge 1030
Garmin Fenix 5. Desperate for a new run watch
Spam spam spam spam, spam spam spam spam, spam spam spam spam spam. I want the special edition garmin spam without any spam in it.
I would go for a garmin Fenix5 or a 735xt (and if needed chip in the last bit of cash myself). Bought an Ambit 3 a year ago that i cant wait to replace! Who ever decided to manufacture a running-specific GPS without vibration alerts and a proper interval-workout function built into it??
Thank you for the give away!
I would get a power meter now that I have seriously gotten into cycling.
A new Garmin tri-watch to replace my old Polar s275x
Garmin vector 3 because I’ve been dreaming about them :) and I want to dual side measure my prowesses :)
Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt
Will buy a trainer if my wife will let me.
A power meter for my road bike, probably the Garmin Vector 3
I would either get the Garmin Fenix 5 or the GoPro Hero 6. I’d like to update from the fenix 3, but the idea of a nice HD cam is equally appealing.
HRM-tri/swim – for the wife, because she’s been wanting one
Power meter (not sure brand) – because I’ve been wanting one for a while for training!
Garmin Forerunner 935 as a motivation to run more after a looong break
G’Day Ray,
I would love to get myself a drone of some kind. Not quite sure which, but obviously something great fun and can match my sporty needs :)
Keep up the great work.
I’d get a Garmin 935or fenix 5 because my fenix 3 is getting a bit tired.
Would be looking at either new bike computer(s) or trainer, not sure which.
Thank you DCR for the giveaway!
I’d get the Garmin Forerunner 935 as I am doing my first triathlon this year – and I have gone all in on the Challenge Roth!! What have I done!!!
At least with this watch the battery won’t die on me before I finish (as long as it won’t take me 24 hours!!!!)
Keep up the great reviews.
I would get GoPro Hero6 Black – that would be awesome
Not that you can even find one, but a Shimano Dura-Ace powermeter crankset.
I’d really like the Garmin Fenix 5 so I could track my MTB sessions… And because it’s Friday ;)
GoPro action camera. I don’t have a good camera, and I have always wanted one.
Thanks
Wahoo Tickr Fit, because I’m dead curious about it.
Maybe some bike stuff too…
I’d absolutely love to get a GoPro or Garmin Virb. It would be great to be able to get photos quickly and without pulling my phone out on a ride.
I’m Dreaming of a… Garmin Forerunner 935. Many ultras on my schedule this year again.
forerunner 935, ’cause it’s the only one with enough battery life for an ultra!
I’d use the credit to get a power meter. I’m just getting started with cycling and would love the added benefit of being able to properly train, but power meters are notoriously expensive. Maybe a single sided like the Stages or the power2max spider type.
I need a power meter, but I’m not sure what will work on my micro compact crank Fuji Jari. Maybe winning this will help.
If I win, I would love to buy a GoPro Hero6, but I might stretch to buying Garmin Vector 3 PM
Power meter pedals for my daughter who is on an elite youth tri team. Need more power!!!
935… My Fenix 3 is getting long in the tooth ?
I like the sound of a forerunner 645 music but would be waiting on your review first, might put it towards something a bit more frivolous instead!
Definitely one of the new Forerunners for marathon training season
I’d get an action camera.
I would get a smart trainer so I can Zwift it up!
Thank you Ray! I would go for a Garmin FR 935 or a bike computer.
I’d go with the fenix 5 to have the most flexibility of activity. Thanks for all you do!
I’d love to get a set of Assioma pedals – I’m riding the Etape for the first time this year and need every bit of help I can get.
Probably a Garmin 935 – smaller than my 910.
I think I would go for a Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals.
My dream would come true :).
Money would go towards a new direct-mount smart trainer. Either an Elite Directo or spend the extra $$ and get a Kickr!
Vector Pedals or a smart trainer… I’d have to think about that choice for a bit if I won.
Hi, I would get Stages Power Meter XT M8000. Thank you in advance!
A powermeter of some sort, trying to decide between Powertap P1 pedals and Vector 3 pedals.
Run Scribe because I like collecting and analyzing data.
I think it will be the garmin fenix 5 becaus it is looking cool ;)
Although I’m tempted by a GoPro, what I need is a HR monitor strap.
I would like to get a Garmin Edge 1030 so I can go places I don’t know and don’t have to look at my phone for maps.
yeah, a new giveaway!
My watch broke recently, so a new Foreunner 935 would be a good replacement before tri season starts.
Cheers
I wouldn’t mind having a Fenix 5, so I can have maps on my watch, unlike the current 735XT
As usual, thanks for the giveaway!
Need a new Forerunner. The dark days with Zwift are over.
The vector 3s, for sure. Have the vector 2s, but an easier transfer would be awesome.
I’ve been wanting a power-meter for AGES, but haven’t been able to justify the cost.
A $500 push would definitely allow it!
If they get the stages r in stock, that to make mine dual sided. Otherwise might switch to vector 3
Suunto Spartan Sport Wrist hR Baro (I think I got the name correct) so that I can hike.
Thanks for it DCR. Garmin Vector 3 power meter pedals, I don’t have any powermeter
I would probably get a power meter to improve my cycling training this season.
