Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

A Stages Cycling powermeter for my road bike… because my tt bike already got one and I’m done switching it every now and then.
Garmin Vector 3, because I want a power meter that I can take with me on vacations and use it on rented bikes.
Etap for my cross bike.
Definitely some soft of GoPro bundle
I would like to replace my FR235 with something newer. Running with music is something I do a lot, so the Forerunner 645 might be an excellent replacement.
I would get the Gopro Hero 6, great for taking videos on the bike.
I want a Fenix 5.It’s time to go trail!!
Fun with the giveaway! I would probably choose Garmin Forerunner 935, I am still using a FR 620 and it would be nice to upgrade!
Garmin Forerunner 935. I’m still using the good old 310XT but the batteries are on their last rounds…
I don’t have an action cam yet, so probably the Hero 6 Black
I’d get a Timex Ironman watch.
They are cool, they rock and Ironmen are so cool.
I would get a Wahoo Element Bolt, no more crappy GPS from my phone.
I’d get the Garmin Vector 3 pedals because you already sold me on everything else.
Garmin Vector 3, power on any bike. Simple as that
My rhythm+ is playing up… So the maybe go for 30 hour ultra friendly wahoo tickr fit… Plus some other goodies.
Enjoy our summer!
GoPro Hero6 Black because image quality and stabilisation!
some nice new watch for tri would be good
A Garmin Edge 1030 would perfectly fit to my bike aero cockpit. It is top of my list for the comming season.
The Wahoo Fitness NEW KICKR for my indoor training.
Cheers!
I would buy a set of Garmin Vector 3 pedals to replace my beat-up Vector 2s. The Vector 2s would be transferred to the spare bike that sits on the trainer most of the time.
Hello
I would buy a DJI Mavic Pro. I need some nice pictures of my dog. :)
fitness watch for me!
New hi-viz bike kit.
Power meter or 935xt.. What should i pick? What would you buy for TRI?
A decade ago the big question for my first watch came. The choice between sunto and garmin. I’ve choose garmin and since that time is my most favorite brand. So fenix2, later 3 and Virb to capture all the adventures.
Fenix 5. Why? Um… I want one but lost all my disposable income on crypto. Curse you, bitcoin.
I would go either for a new tri-watch (looking at you FR935) or an upgrade of my dumb trainer into a smart one! Many thanks for the great job you do, Ray!
I want the GoPro Hero6 Black so I can take pictures of myself in beautiful places in Portugal and maybe (I’m sure you will) convince DC Rainmaker to come here for a vacancies and anothe super giveaway! :) Cheers!!
I‘d go for a fenix 5, either the small one or the middle. The Fenix 3 I currently have is just a wee bit too bulky with wearing a shirt.
Thank you!
I would buy a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt since I currently do not have a head unit that works.
I’d go for a power meter, probably Garmin, as I’m getting more into cycling/ tri’s and would like to understand how I’m progressing on the bike. Fingers crossed!
Definately an FR 935, hopefully it will sort my endless 735 problems out
Happy Australia day.
I would be torn between, getting a power meter, a fancy trainer or a top end gps watch
Garmin Vector 3 For my please
Thanks as always for he gave giveaway Ray! I’d definitely be getting myself either one of the Garmin Fenix watches, or a Forerunner to replace my old and broken watch.
I want a garmin 1030 or 820, because I lost myself to many times.
Absolutely Garmin vector3 for better training.
To analysis big data first you need a measurement tool !
Thanks- Garmin Fenix can support my 520…
Garmin Vector 3 – to be my first powermeter
Garmin Vector 3 for sure!
I need a running watch so I would get the Garmin forerunner 935 (expensive but looks better than the 235 ;))
Why not a Assioma pedal? The ultimate tool for who wants to improve his performance and to know more about himself.
I’d probably put it towards the Vector 3. Always wanted a PM but couldn’t defend the cost of a good one.
I’ll worry about what to order when (if) I win!
I would indulge in the Garmin Fenix 5. Couldn’t convince my better half that it’s worth the money otherwise. Thanks!
A Fenix 5 as a big upgrade to my current Forerunner.
It’s always a good day when you hear about a giveaway. Even in a rainy winter day.
I think I will get a Garmin Edge, not sure on which model yet.
Hi DCR! Thanks for another great giveaway! :)
I think I would go with a GO PRO – I’m looking for some gear to document my photographic trips and that one would be just right. :)
Keep up the good work! :)
I’d get an Aussie flag* – it’s Australia Day after all.
*Maybe
Probably a 935 OR A Spartan sport
Fenix 5X need an upgrade. Well want an upgrade :)
I would love to buy a set of vector 3 pedals.
I would get… a smart trainer of some kind. Maybe the Elite Direto? It would definitely improve my riding in the winter…
Definitely a Garmin Fenix 5x?
Hi, I would go for a Jetboil Genesis Base Camp 2 Burner System so that when we go camping, the kids don’t have to wait about so long for having hot food ready to eat.
Quatix 5 sapphire please or failing that, Fenix 5 silver, to replace my dated Suunto Core….
I’d probably splurge on a Hero 6!
Go-pro or drone to be able to film and share my different sport passions with friends/family (bike, hiking, ski, run, tennis, …)
FR 645, so I can leave my music player at home when trail running
Vector 3’s or the watteam Kit and a rhythm 24
An assioma pedal power meter would be perfect – easy to change between bikes… Thanks!!
Would get the Vector 3 power meters so I would accelerate my improvement on the bicycle. Anyway I didn’t think Perth had that many people to get too crowded.
I’d get a quarq. Already have a p2m and I’d love another power meter so I wouldn’t have to swap between bikes.
I’d get an activity tracker for my daughter.
Vector 3 or Tacx Neo, it depends; if my lbs can buy me the vectors I´ll go to the Neo fron Clever Training
Thanks DCR for developing such a great site! I am training for my next Ironman, and I could use a new multifunction watch. Fenix 5 vs the 935.
I bougth the Garmin Vivoactive HR after reading your test. It’s perfect for my usage as it supports a lot of different activities as that is what I’m doing. Skiing xcountry adn downhill, spinning, cycle running and Golf!
Easy to handle and low weight. Thanks for the brilliant tests!
Thanks for doing these giveaways! I would get the Watteam dual power meters.
I would love to get more data for my runs and get a FR 935 and HRM! Thanks !
I would probably be looking for a power meter.
A Fenix 5 would be great for me.
I’d love to get a new indoor trainer. Wahoo Kickr or Tacx Neo…simply because my current one is not fun to ride with anymore. Too noisy (sorry neighbours!), no proper resistance control and no smart functions.
Garmin Edge 520…..so i can stop using my phone!
I’d put the credit towards a Wahoo KICKR – Winter has been cold and damp here in the UK.
I’ll take the FR 935 because I like a lightweight watch for my trail runs… Thanx!
I’d buy a powermeter to really enhance my training game!
I’d get a FR 645 Music… because Music on the watch is awesome. No Phone need anymore YAAAY :D
Thanks DCR. Vector 3 as my first power meter to help me train to my first IM in August.
It has to go towards a new direct drive indoor trainer (I’m thinking Wahoo KICKR), because the weather in the UK is terrible, and I need to keep the pedals turning indoors.
I like the sound of the new scosche rhythm HRM. I think I would get one of those.
Power meter for the bike.
Garmin 935…I need it, I love it.
I would probably use it for a Garmin fenix 5 or the Garmin 735XT watch for my wife as a present
I´d like the GoPro most to create impressive videos
An up to date action camera, probably VIRB for the G Metrics overlays. Not sure on 360 or Ultra, so need to revisit your reviews…
$500 of socks would be super. Nothing like that new sock feel.
I absolutely need the Fenix 5. Starting to train for my first triathalon. Also the optical heart rate sensor would be dope as well.
A new helmet and shoes. Not very gadgety, but my shoes are wearing out and the helmet is reaching end of life
I’d get a new watch as my Garmin 310XT is bulky, old and not elegant at all and I could do with a snazzy new one for my upcoming ultra-running season!
I’d get a Hero6 to be able to film anywhere, and some Smith sunglasses to keep my eyes relaxed.
Well I was thinking of getting a bike computer (garmin edge 820 most likely), or a Fitbit Ionic for my girlfriend. She’d love that!
Probably a new go pro or power meter
Nice Ray, thanks!
I think I’ll go with a new forerunner… to much cycling in these days, I need an excuse to go running more often!
:)
Most probably a Forerunner 735XT or the 935. I am training for the London Marathon this year and would get something to spur me on :-)
I’d get myself a new Edge 1030 to replace my 520. It’s been a reliable workhorse, but I find myself navigating unfamiliar areas more and more and the 1030 would be really useful!
GoPro Hero6 or 5. I commute to work every day and when I get into town it gets crazy with traffic. Sometimes I wished I had filmed it all to show them what they did in their cars !!!!
Thanks for this Ray!
I´d would get a Forerunner 935 :)
Would pick the Garmin Vector 3, to put my cycling on a new level with power-based training.
Thanks Ray
Getting into triathlon, so a tri-capable watch to substitute my aging M400 :-)
Garmin Vector power meter to train better
