After chasing ducks at the park with my son, I’m doing a few body weight exercises & a treadmill recovery run (pushed a bit hard during the week and calves are still sore; need some treadmill softness to ease me back into it).

Just finished the Bespoke Cycles Ride – Nicasio Loop Counterclockwise in the Bay Area on a beautiful Saturday.
Tomorrow, it’s back to the trainer for intervals.

I’m starting work with a new coach, so it’s an easy run and bike ride for the weekend, then a threshold test on the watt bike on Monday. Can’t wait!
I have been ill and am afraid that traineroad will kill me, so I think I will head out on the Phoenix cc run tomorrow morning, in the Irish dank wet spring/summer.
This weekend I plan to make up for feeling sick during the week – a short but speedy run today, and a long run tomorrow. I also challenged one of my friends to a most-steps competition, so instead of a very short out-and-back today I will just go out, and walk all the way back!
I’m going to be indoors all weekend studying for an exam :/
But winning would help me be able to have a trainer workout in the future!

Split my long run into two as hail and rain started to come down hard. On my second run, decided to throw a fartlek in there, and man did I have the energy to do a really strong session in the evening. Looks like high aspirations and hard work do go together!
