I don’t have any races on the calendar this year. The last organized event I did was the MS bike ride (which I now realize was a long time ago!). It was my first big organized ride, and it went fine after the first few miles — but those first few miles were awful. It was SO crowded and felt so dangerous that I contemplated leaving. There was only enough to pedal to stay upright; if you pedaled any more than was necessary, you’d have crashed into several people. Kind of scary for a first organized ride!
No races coming up but several bike events next up is Patuxent River Rural Legacy Ride – a metric century.
Ten for Texas, 10 mile race in The Woodlands TX. Top ten in AG

This will involve walking up Mount Snowdon in Wales (1,085m) Scafell Pike in England (978m) and Ben Nevis in Scotland (1,344m), and cycling in between each one. This will mean a total of circa 600miles on the bike in the 6 days plus the hiking.
