Today is Friday – you made it to the end of the week. But more importantly, today is also Australia Day. I only know that because I’m in Australia, and the beaches are more crowded than the starting line of a marathon (still, I pretended to workout and went for a short swim). Thus, it seems reason enough to give away some gadget goodness. But fear not, I won’t be restricting this to those in Australia, or any other country. Anyone, anywhere on earth, is welcome to join as always.
Somehow it’s been far too long since we’ve last done a giveaway. I seriously don’t know how, because I talk about it almost every month with the Clever Training crew, and then somehow it slips off my radar. Perhaps we just need more holidays to have faux reasons for me to give stuff away.
The winner will get a $500 credit to CleverTraining.com, my most excellent partner in this giveaway crime. By supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on almost anything they sell (or get points instead). If you win, you can use that credit for anything from the GoPro Hero6 Black, to a Suunto Spartan Ultra, to a random pair of socks, to the Garmin Vector 3 power meter, or heck, even towards a new trainer. Whatever floats your boat (note: they don’t sell boats). Also note, your credit is in US dollars, not Australian – otherwise you’d get less. Nobody wants less.
How to enter:
Simply leave a short description of what product you’d get and why (but don’t worry, you can change your mind later if you win).
The reason you need a short description of ‘why’ is that if you just put a simple product name (I.e. F5), you’ll likely get caught up in my SPAM filters. And nobody wants to be sandwiched between two pieces of SPAM. Got all that?
Good luck!
The giveaway entry period will run through Monday, January 29th, 2018 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly. One entry per person. The selected product/products will then be ordered immediately and shipped immediately, assuming they’re in stock.

Thanks Ray! I would get a Garmin 935, so that I could stop attaching my phone to my bike and my arm
I’d buy me an Elite Drivo because my current trainer is about to fall apart.
A new Garmin watch to replace the Vivoactive would be sweet.
I would like a new GoPro for filming my adventures.
Bernardo Tapia – I would get the Garmin Vector 3 pedals for my Bike. It was on my Christmas list but did not arrive on Christmas morning.
I’d get a watch that’s more hiking / backcountry oriented than my Garmin 220 :)
I would probably use it towards a new FR 645 watch!
Probably Suunto Spartan Trainer because I don’t have any of the Spartans.
Garmin Forerunner 935
I reckon a hero 6 or maybe vector 3 pedals….. hmmmmmmm
I’d buy a new trainer – it’s winter here, the roads are either filthy with corrosive salt or it’s like a skating rink. And I have a sportive at the end of April!
Would love a quarq power meter for my SRAM eagle mountain bike. Haven’t managed to justify it to myself yet, but a $500 discount could persuade me…
My Polar M400 doesn’t work anymore. So I would like to get a new Garmin Fenix 5. Summer is coming! And thank you for great work and of course your Giveaways!
I would go with the 935xt I think. I’m still rockin the Fenix 3 non HR and I want an HR watch. I like the idea of it being thinner and lighter. Ive always been curious to try Suunto but that was more of a draw in the Ambit 3 peak being a fresh new watch days. So pretty sure I’d stay with Garmin for another go round.
I would get a garmin headunit.thanks!
An Elite Direto as I have been eyeing one up for a while anyway. Erg mode and general smart trainer capabilities would be great.
I’d get a power meter
Watch with optical HR. Can’t decide which one quite yet.
hello,
I dream of the fenix 5x but my old 920xt is still working… so i’ll juste have to refrain myself… or win at the DCR lottery!
Max from Belgium
Garmin Vector 3 power meter fo my bike…. to measure my performance
I would love to score a GP Hero6 Black, for an upcoming trip (my first time!) to Hawaii…great way to capture some of the hiking, biking, and snorkeling I have planned!
I would probably get the Garmin Vector 3, a power meter is next on my wishlist
Elite Direto so I can beat my husband!
I’d probably go to a new trainer ;)
I would get the Garmin Vector 3 pedals and use them, when training alone.
Pedal-based power meter because:
* I getting serious enough about training to want an on-bike power meter by the time it’s warm enough to ride outside regularly
* My current bike is a touring configuration that won’t support anything else without a lot of other changes that ruin it as a touring rig
* I’m hoping to get a second bike as my main road machine in the near future and pedals are easily shared
Probably Vector 3.
I would like a fenix 5 to replace my old (although still good) fenix 2
I would go for the Garmin 935 since I’m in need of a watch upgrade.
I’d purchase a Garmin Forerunner 645!! Because wouldn’t want the power of Garmin sports watch mixed with the ability to listen to some sick beats??
I think I’d get one of the new Forerunners, because my 610 is getting rather long in the tooth. But, the random pair of socks is tempting as well.
I would really like to have a wahoo kickr, because I’m still stuck on my 8 years old tacx satori…
I would get a bike computer or maybe a power meter.
Power Meter Pedals for the new bike
Garmin vector 3 power pedals. I think it would be fun knowing what I am putting out.
I’d get a new Elite trainer . It would power up my indoor sessions
I desperately need a new running watch, so I’d get the latest and greatest!
Most likely use the money towards a new trainer as I still own a dumb model.
Just bought an edge 1030. A better interchangeable powermeter, like the Vector 3, would be very nice.
If really like to get another Suunto Spartan series watch. I really liked mine until it got stolen. The watch looks great and does everything I need it to do.
I think any Suunto or Garmin or Polar fitness tracker.
I dont need GPS nor HRM, but a good smartwatch with some more advanced step and reps counting.
Many thanks DCR!
Replace my Garmin 500 with some new goodness!
I’d like a Garmin Forerunner 645 Music. Training for a marathon!
Fenix 5 – I’ve wanted one for ages
Mmmmm…..maybe a Favero Assioma, because I want power meters in my two bikes!
Vector 3S so I can compare it with my Powertap P1’s
I’d upgrade my garmin running watch. The current one is old and falling apart.
I’ve been thinking of an Apple watch. Would be interesting though since I’d also need an Apple phone!
I’m in the market for a new smart trainer to replace my 5 year old resistance trainer.
Power meter pedals. The $500 would make them affordable for me.
Garmin Vector 3 definitely :)
I’d love to add a power meter to my arsenal.
Thank you again! I would put it to a power meter?
I would get Suunto Spartan Ultra of Garmin Fenix5 to replace my Forerunner 220.
Reasons for upgrade is ability to load gpx tracks for trail running, longer battery life, and profiles for various sports.
My old Forerunner 220 only has run profile.
I need a 735 or 935. Or a small trainer
I would go for Wahoo Fitness KICKR
I would get a new GoPro to record our family ski trips.
An indoor trainer because I signed up for Dirty Kanza 200 race
Probably a power meter
Probably the Hero 6, looks like fun for the summer.
GoPro Hero6 or the new Mavic Air.
Favero Assioma! I saving for them for a long time already :)
Would get a Suunta Spartain Trainer, have been wanting to update my Ambit 2S for awhile and would love the heart rate monitor and bluetooth capability!
I would pick the Suunto Spartan Sport GPS Watch With Wrist Heart Rate, and use it to finally get enough training in to sign up for the Disney Marathon, but I’d probably have to share it with my wife!
I’d get a wahoo kickr snap because it’s winter and I need some winter training motivation
I’d get a new garmin. My garmin 800 is long in the tooth
Really been thinking about getting a GoPro Hero Black. Would be awesome to win it!
A new Garmin Watch, since mine is getting very long in the tooth
Fenix 5. I want a triathlon watch
If win, I’ll pick GoPro Hero6 Black. I need to upgrade my gear to register moments with better quality!
I’d go for the GoPro hero 6 to get action footage of the little ones without having the fear of breaking a camera :)
Garmin 935 to kick-start the year.
Thanks for all the giveaways, Ray. Looking at Garmin vector or Favero Assioma cycling power pedals.
Probably a new watch
A fenix because my old Garmin forerunner is on its last leg!
garmin 645 use to play and run with…fun
I’d go for the Rhythm24 and WatTeam Dual. Or maybe the 935. Or maybe an Edge. Or maybe another smart trainer since my brand new Magnus doesn’t work (wtf? grumble).
Power meter 100%, no doubt at all
Garmin Vector Power Meter to step up my trainning.
A new saddle for my road bike because the original was horrible.
I want a smart trainer, something like a Tacx Flux so that I can really focus one some indoor power training.
Garmin Forerunner 935
Let’s try Garmin forerunner 935 in an another 5kg drop effort
A Vector power meter would greatly improve the quality of my training for my first 70.3 event this year! ?
I’d get the vector 3!
YES!!! I love Ray’s Giveaway…
I wonder if I can get the new DJI Mavi Air from CT…I’ll soon know when Ray will pick up my comment!!!!
GO and pick me Ray !
I am hesitating between a fenix 5 and Vector 3!…
I’d get a power meter so I can actually see how weak I am when I ride outside. My neo already tells me how unfit I am inside.
I would get a 935 to replace my wife’s worn 920XT.
It’s be a Garmin 520 and or a stages power meter. This would be so that I could take my training to the next level.
For $500 off, I’d take the plunge on a power meter.
Stac Zero with Powermeter because my trainer is loud!
Happy Australia Day!
I’d go for a power meter or a trainer upgrade.
Forerunner 935, it ticks all my running needs, and still looks nice in the process. unlike the FR645
Definitively a Garmin Vivoactive 3, because it’s way more biutiful than my Vivoactive HR… To train hard for the 21km of Bordeaux
Probably the FR 645, I like the idea of running with music. Although I’m a Stryd user and I’d rather it be able to connect directly to power meters like the 945 does. So it would come down to those two. Thanks Ray!
I would upgrade to a smart trainer probably the Elite Direto.
I would get the kickr snap because I can’t ride my road bike outdoors for like half of the year here.
Also relying on my first time participation charm!
Probably grab part of my first trainer or power meter. Just starting to move from running only to triathalons.
Think I’d probably go for a 4iiii power meter, but might wait for a full review of the Stages G3
I would get a fenix 5 because it’s shiny and new!
