It’s back again – Amazon Prime Day…err…Days. That means that most (all?) Amazon country/regional properties are doing pretty substantial deals across the board on all sorts of products for now through Friday. As usual, deals last till they last.
I’d argue that 2025’s edition of Prime Days is probably the best set of deals we’ve seen in one of their summer sales to date. Both because most companies have at least a few of their current/newest products, and those deals are generally quite good. Further, this is the broadest selection of deals we’ve seen in terms of companies and product categories.
As I’ve said in the past, a July sale date for sports tech items is timed perfectly. That’s because typically Black Friday deals are for ‘older’ things, rarely the ‘just announced’ stuff that often comes in the late August to October timeframe (especially wearables, cycling trainers, and action cams). But, with Amazon Prime Day being in July, there’s more opportunity for brands to put things on sale for a sale quickie. Typically speaking though, don’t expect to see things on sale that were announced this year.
To take advantage of Amazon Prime Days, you simply need to be an Amazon Prime member. The good news is that you can sign-up for the free trial and cancel later if you don’t find value in it. Just hit up this giant banner below to do so:

I’ve organized all the best sports technology Amazon Prime Days deals (and a few others I’ve found) below in the tables by category. I’ll be updating them throughout the next two days. Keep in mind that not all deals last (in fact, most don’t). So, if you see something that’s hot, I’d strongly suggest buy now (and return later if need be).
With that, onto the deals! And thanks for supporting the site via the links below. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. Enjoy!
Europe Folks Note: I’ve tried in the past to keep track of all the separate Amazon European sites, and honestly, have given up. With 100+ products on the US list, and then cross-checking each one manually across each country…has proven impossible. That said, you can click any link and, in theory (strong hopefully theory), it’s often also on sale in the EU sites.
Watches & Wearables:
This covers anything you can wear that’s watch-like or activity band-like, including sensors. Generally speaking, you’ll mostly find deals here that are on things I’ve written about in the past. So you won’t find a deal on some random non-sports tech watch here, or on socks. Unless the socks have some crazy sensor or something in them.
| Product | Sale Price | Amazon | Sale Notes |
 | AmazFit T-Rex 3 - $80 off | $199 | Amazon | This is a solid deal, especially for a watch that has offline mapping. |
 | Apple Watch Series 10 - $120 off $399/$499 (cellular) | $279 | Amazon | ⚡ This is by far the lowest price we've seen to date for the Apple Watch Series 10. Of course, we're probably only 60 days away from an Apple Watch Series 11, but Apple has alreay announced WatchOS 26 last month, which the Series 10 gets all the new features from. |
 | Apple Watch Ultra 2 Black Titanium - $150 off | $649 | Amazon | ⚡ This is the lowest price on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 we've seen to date. It's likely we'll see an Apple Watch Ultra 3 this September, but like the Apple Watch Series 10 above, WatchOS26 has already been announced and all the new features there go to the Ultra 2. |
 | Fitbit Ace LTE Kids Activity Smartwatch - $100 off | $129 | Amazon | This is (by far) the lowest price we've seen on this watch to date. This is their first full smartwatch focused on kids activity tracking and gamification. |
 | Fitbit Charge 6 - 38% off! $159 | $99 | Amazon | ⚡ This is the go-to sale price for the Fitbit Charge 6. It happens often, but it still doesn't take away from the fast that it's argueably the best bang for your buck fitness tracker out there. |
 | Garmin Epix Pro Series - $200 off! $899/$999 | $609 | Amazon | I believe this is the lowest price we've seen for the Epix Pro series (which has an ECG-capable HR sensor). Note that while some sites might tout $500+ off, in reality, this watch has been floating around $800 recently. |
 | Garmin Epix Sapphire/Titanium (Gen 2) - $400+ off! | $469 | Amazon | ⚡ This continues to be one of the best deals out there. While this watch won't be getting much in the way of big ticket new features, it does continue to get minor software updates - and for the money, has far more software features than any of Garmin's competitors (or for that matter, products like the Instinct 3 AMOLED lineup). |
 | Garmin Fenix 7X Pro Solar - $100-$200 off $799+ | $499 | Amazon | |
 | Garmin Fenix 8 Series - $100 Off! $999-$1,199 | $899 | Amazon | While not as good as last month's $200 off, that annual spring sale price won't likely be seen again till Black Friday-ish type sales. Thus, if you want a Fenix 8 for the summer, might as well take the $100 off and put it towards ice cream. |
 | Garmin Forerunner 165 (Base) - $75 off! $249/$299 | $219 | Amazon | |
 | Garmin Forerunner 255/255S - $100 off | $199 | Amazon | This is the lowest price we've ever seen the Forerunner 255 at. |
 | Garmin Forerunner 255/255S Music - $100 off! $349/$399 | $249 | Amazon | This is the lowest price on this watch to date (previous low was $299). |
 | Garmin Forerunner 265 Series - $50 off! $449 | $399 | Amazon | |
 | Garmin Forerunner 55 - A Few Dollars Off $199 | $169 | Amazon | Honestly, I just put this one in there, merely to point out you shoudn't buy it at this price. Buy the FR255 at $30 more, far better watch.
This thing should be priced at $129 or something to move units. |
 | Garmin Forerunner 955 - $150 off! | $349 | Amazon | ⚡ This has been one of Garmin's most popular running watches, and it's down to a very strong price. I often use this in my accuracy testing comparisons when validating other watches, due to it's very strong GPS performance. Note this is the base edition without solar. It'd be hard to find any better deal in sports watches today, from any company (given this has full mapping, tons of new features even this week, etc...). I say '$100ish', because it's usually been on forever sale at $499. |
 | Garmin Forerunner 955 Solar: $150 off! $499/$599 | $399 | Amazon | See everything I said above on the Forerunner 955 base, except this one also has solar. |
 | Garmin Forerunner 965 - $50 off $599 | $549 | Amazon | This had been $499 for much of the spring, so $549 isn't that great of a deal. |
 | Garmin Instinct 2 Series - $75 Off | $169 | Amazon | ⚡I believe $169 is the lowest price we've ever seen for the Instinct 2. Or at least, I have no record of it being sub-$199. Very solid deal for a solid little watch. |
 | Garmin Instinct 2 Solar | $266 | Amazon | |
 | Garmin Instinct 2S & 2S Solar | $217 | Amazon | |
 | Garmin Lily 2 - 20% off $249 | $199 | Amazon | The leather version is also on sale as well. |
 | Garmin Venu 3 - $50 off! $449 | $399 | Amazon | |
 | Garmin Venu 3S - $50 off | $399 | Amazon | |
 | Garmin Vivoactive 5 - $110 off! $299 | $189 | Amazon | This is a great deal for Garmin's little-sibling to the Venu series. It has almost all the same features as the Venu 3, except the voice calling related bits. |
 | Google Pixel Watch 3 (41mm) - $100 OFF | $249 | Amazon | |
 | Google Pixel Watch 3 (41mm) - $100 OFF | $299 | Amazon | |
 | Polar Verity Sense - 15% off $99 | $84 | Amazon | I use this as one of my reference devices for heart rate accuracy testing. |
 | Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 (40 & 44mm) - 50% off | $159 | Amazon | As with the Samsung Watch Ultra, Samsung is less than 24hrs away from announcing a new version of the Samsung Watch series. |
 | Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra - 50% off | $325 | Amazon | Look, Samsung is less than a day away from likely announcing a new version (on July 9th), so if you buy now, you might want to wait a few extra hours after delivery to decide if you want to return it. Otherwise, this is Samsung's best watch to date. |
Cycling Gear & Trainers:
Got a bike? Then this section is for you. Everything from bike computers to bike lights to trainers, it’s all here. I won’t generally be adding things like brake cables or bike seats here, but if I find a good deal on a cassette to stack on that new direct drive trainer you just bought, I’ll probably list it here.
| Product | Sale Price | Amazon | Sale Notes |
 | Garmin Edge 1040 Cycling GPS - $150 off! | $399 | Amazon | ⚡⚡ This is a very solid deal, and the lowest price we've seen to date on it. |
 | Garmin Edge 540 Solar - $150 off | $299 | Amazon | ⚡⚡This is the lowest price we've seen on the Garmin Edge 540 Solar to date, which has gained virtually all of the new Garmin Edge 1050 features as well. |
 | Garmin Edge Explore 2 - $60 off $299 | $237 | Amazon | |
 | Wahoo BOLT V2 - $30 off $279 | $279 | Amazon | |
And then here’s a separate bucket for trainers and indoor bikes:
Action Cameras & Drones:
Wanna record it? No better way than an action camera. Anything that’s action camera-related or drone-related, you’ll find here. That’s especially true of action camera mounts, which are often found for great deals around the holidays. Same goes with drones and drone accessories. Usually a great time to pick up an extra battery or extra props.
| Product | Sale Price | Amazon | Sale Notes |
 | DJI Action 4 - $90 off | $209 | Amazon | While prior gen unit (and probably, 2 generations behind in a few weeks), it's still a very strong contender at this price point especially. |
 | DJI Mini 4K Drone - $60 off | $239 | Amazon | If you're looking to get into flying with a DJI drone, this is a solid place to start. Of course, moreso than that, the days are very limited for how much longer you can actually buy at DJI drone in the US. So, grab them while you can. |
 | GoPro Hero 12 Black - $100 off! | $279 | Amazon | This is the older gen model, and to me, $279 seems a bit high. Get the Hero 13 Black for $50 more and have access to all the new accessories. Or, save yourself $50 and get either the DJI Action 4 (prior gen) or Insta360 Ace Pro 1 (prior gen) models. |
 | GoPro Hero 13 Black - $70 off | $329 | Amazon | |
 | HoverAir X1 Drone Combo - $100 off! | $279 | Amazon | This has become one of my favorite drones, given it's tiny size (fits in my running shorts pockets) and ease of use. Plus, you can crash the crap out of it (hundreds of times for me and my wife) without any issues. This combo includes an extra battery and fast charger. |
 | HoverAir X1 Pro Drone Combo Kit - $155 off | $599 | Amazon | This is a solid deal on a solid drone, and one of the two main ones I use when taking videos of myself hiking or running. This includes the two extra batteries as well as the fast charger (so 3 batteries total). |
 | Insta360 Ace Pro Action Cam - $50 off | $239 | Amazon | This is the previous edition, as the Ace Pro 2 just came out last fall. But for this price, it's hard to beat. |
Other Sports & Fitness:
Anything else that’s sports and fitness-related that I think is interesting will be here. It may not be super techy – but it’s stuff that most readers will be using in pursuit of their running/cycling/swimming/hiking/whatever.
| Product | Sale Price | Amazon | Sale Notes |
 | Garmin inReach 2 Mini Satellite Communicator (2-way) - $20 off | $379 | Amazon | This is a pretty small deal for this product. This is my defacto satellite communicator when out of coverage area, and I've used it on a number of major treks over the past two years when well outside of cellular service, both in a 24x7 tracking mode for friends and family, but also there in case of emergency. Would strongly recommend for anyone doing anything in the wilderness. |
DCR Random Gadget List:
These are basically the mostly totally unrelated gadgets and things I think are cool deals that I’ve likely bought one or five of (you can never have too many, right)? Some of it’s probably photography stuff. Some of it’s random stuff like chargers and battery packs that I use daily, fun camera gear I use to make videos, like sliders and turntables, and well…just random things you’ll find around the DCR Cave. It’s all random…but it’s all awesome randomness!
There are no deals currently.
With that – thanks for reading, and for supporting the site via the links above.
The last Insta360 x4 360 cam is 30% off too. $10 less than lowest over the last year. I bought my wife one for xmas last year to slap on the bow of her kayak. The x5 came out in April.
As is the odd little Insta360 Go 3S action-ish 4K cam, 20% on that one. $20 less than lowest in the last year.
Good catch, will add them.
the kickr core still shows 535 on amazon
Looks like that deal is gone, at least for now.
I never understood this lists Ray.
For example: Garmin Epix Sapphire/Titanium (Gen 2) – $400+ off! $469 Amazon. When I click this Amazon-link I see 830,33 euro ($970,70).
Reminds me of the people saying flying with Ryanair is only 49$ from Brussels to the South of France. However, when I book a flight I pay 350 euro, micro-recyclable coffee spoon included.
i see the same. im wondering if maybe some of these are coming deals and not all totally active on day 1
Because its US amazon he lists and when you open the link will show your amazon country which is totally different and dont even have the same prime deals in EU and US so it’s more an issue on amazon and when you see all those foreigner links sales for amazon and it says its US just know you will be open in an europe amazon with totally different price
Sometimes also asks if you want change amazon country which ends up useless as well since you pay taxes or can’t order to your country
I think it depends the way links are shared and which browsers you open too
Correct. Amazon does the conversions from Amazon US to Amazon EU (or any other country).
I can technically inject code on my side for a specific product to override it. And did that in the past, but two things became obvious:
1) Chasing down a huge pile of Amazon EU sites for constantly changing deals was like herding bumblebee soccer. Made even worse when the SKU’s were different per country in some cases.
2) Ultimately, I’d spend a ton of time doing so, and then the actual conversion of those links (aka sales) was silly low.
I wish I had the time to do them all. And sometimes if I see an incredible EU deal I’ll all it out separately.
I noticed there are also several bike lights on sale, including the SeeMee taillights by Magicshine, including their newer ones with radar and rear cameras.
Ray- have you ever considered reviewing those products?
Do NOT get the one with the camera (SeeMee DV). There are huge gaps in the recordings between files, presumably as it writes the old file, before starting a new one. Set to supposedly 3 minute clips, it seems to work out as about 2 minutes of footage followed by 1 minute missed, although even that is inexplicably inconsistent. This obviously makes it completely useless for its intended purpose of being a dash cam, as there is a good chance it simply will not record an incident.
I tried swapping the cheapo included SD card to a fancy SanDisk one; regularly reformat the card; even got it replaced under warranty (after much arguing with the MagicShine support who refused to acknowledge the problem), all to no avail. I can only assume that it is simply a fundamental design flaw.
I’ve been meaning to finish the Cycliq review that I bought a unit for a while back.
Everything I’ve seen about the Magicshine gear from GPLAMA around his radar reviews (both public videos and private discussions) is that it’s well beyond hot-mess status. And Tim’s comment here seems to support that mantra as well.
Gotta buy that last generation of small Fenix with MIP display, in a couple of years it will be priceless ;)
One last thought on the topic mentioned in the previous post – just like for you Ray people talking to their watches look a bit weird, for me people constantly flicking their wrist in order to see anything look even funnier. For some of us AMOLED is a regression and Garmin and their customers blindly following the trend don’t seem to understand that in certain conditions good old MIP is superior – especially when you have your hands full and sit in a sun. When you work in an office all day or train at a gym – sure, AMOLEDs are great. But why force them into every watch on the market? Why not put solar option to Vivoactive series if they already have Venu? I guess they do it for a quick and easy profit but I think in the long run it’s going to bite them in the ass because they have too many identical products and not enough variety.
“But why force them into every watch on the market? Why not put solar option to Vivoactive series if they already have Venu? I guess they do it for a quick and easy profit but I think in the long run it’s going to bite them in the ass because they have too many identical products and not enough variety.”
Simply put: They’re just no profit there anymore. People aren’t buying it.
Garmin is, and has always been, very much a ‘let’s see how many silly models we can make’ of a company. They aren’t afraid of that. But equally, they are very much a company that requires a clear and conservative financial ROI on their products. That’s how/why we get stupid-level pricing on some of their low-volume products (specifically looking at the HRM-FIT for women).
Every conversation I’ve had with not just Garmin, but every other company in the space, mirrors the same: Peope are overwhelmingly choosing AMOLED over MIP. And this is in cases where companies like Suunto and COROS are offering identical units in both types, and usually at identical pricing.
Which isn’t to say that Garmin will discontinue all MIP. It’s clearly sticking around in specific product areas: Instinct, probably some Fenix/Enduro variant, and maybe a Tactix variant.
Wahoo KICKR CORE with Zwift Cog+Click is not on sale – regular price
Yeah that deal came and went.
Indeed, appears to be gone now. It did have a deal-tracker thing of sorts. Often times they come back, hence why I leave them there.
