A few weeks ago I published a review of the Amazfit Helio Band (written), but hadn’t quite done the same on the YouTube side.
Yesterday, on YouTube, I published what is essentially a blend between an Amazfit Helio band review, and a ‘versus’ style comparison between the two of them. I look at the core features on both and how they compare, with side-by-side data.

Exertion target seems to be updating, but the ramp up is slow. It started at 30 if I’m not mistaken and right now, about 1 week later is at 49. So still easy to get 100% but eventually it will stabilise at a more reasonable level I guess.
Indeed, it seems like something changed around July 1st, that went from never changing in June, to now changing daily. Though, honestly, also super randomly – like now spaghetti at a wall day to day.
Yh it seemed like it was trending according to my nightly data, but then today, the worst I’ve ever slept while wearing this (RHR +10, HRV -20ms, Breathing through the roof, etc, must be coming down with a cold) it decided to increase my target from around 40 to about 100.
My guess is that it’s a weekly update on Monday based on past effort, but it’s the worst day ever to tell me to go all in, to increase my effort 150% 🤪
my wrists are overloaded.
the helio fits great on my ankle.
probably throws all the data off.
my garmin on my wrist has all the screen data I need but would like the tracking the helio could add if ankle data worked.
