It’s somehow October already, and it’s been months since the Giveaway Extravaganza, and far too many months since a standalone extravaganza. I really need to have more of these. Half Marathon for me on Sunday – Royal Parks Half in London. So that means Sat will be an easy day – maybe a couple of easy hours on the bike.

No training this weekend :-) Saturday I’m at the birthday party of my niece, Sunday at the birthday party of my mom.

20 mile bike ride planned for Sat then a quick 2 mile run afterwards and then Sun will be getting the jogging stroller out for about 5 miles or so.

Big effort this weekend. 2km swim in the pool today (Friday), 15km run and double spin class Saturday, 200km ride followed 5-6km social run Sunday, then 15km run Monday. Building for Melbourne Marathon next weekend, and Ironman Melbourne in March.
Actually it is an offseason slacking for me, so maybe a slow run.

“Easy” 90 minute ride Saturday which usually degenerates into team time trial. Sunday one hour steady ride into 30 minute run first 20 minutes hard.

80k end of season bun run!
As my racing season is already over, I am going to do two longer pleasure rides with friends in order to definitely end my road season.
Tomorrow I’ve planned a ride through the black forest which will be roughly 120 km long. Concerning Sunday, I’m still undecided. Since I’m going to watch the IRONMAN Worldchampionships there could be a real recreational ride. But with at least 80 km.

Plans for the weekend are: spin those legs for a 30km ride on Friday, Saturday manage to do a 60km ride and Sunday aiming to ride 100+. As the weather is looking reasonably good in Holland we have to make the most of it.

I shall ride 30 km to join some friends in Yokohama tomorrow morning, then around 75 km with them. Sunday being rainy, next one will hopefully be a 125 km ride on the west coast of the Izu Peninsula on monday (national day in Japan :)
