The Swim/Bike/Run Gear I Use List
Many readers stumble into my website in search of information on the latest and greatest sports tech products. But at the end of the day, you might just be wondering “What does Ray use when not testing new products?”. So here is the most up to date list of products I like and fit the bill for me and my training needs best! DC Rainmaker 2024 swim, bike, run, and general gear list. Rowing, and too much of it. Saturday’s a double session on the water: 18k UT2 morning, 8 x 500m afternoon. Sunday’s a morning group ride, and an afternoon “sprint” erg (the lack of detail on the training plan has me nervous).
Trying to get myself moving again so maybe just an easy 5k
Weekend Workout Plan: Saturday 8 hour car drive (means it’s a rest day, unless I can scounder up enough energy to hit the gym for a bit when I get in to town). Sunday: Long run day- 8 miles this weekend!
Saturday – 35 miles steady ride for coffee with wife, weather looks good in uk
Sunday – 70 mile group ride 3x hill attacks and some high intensity hill work,
Monday hope to be deciding what new training tool to buy with my prize :o)

Saturday Brick workout – 20 mile L2 ride on hilly terrain followed by 15 min run at L2/L3
Sunday – running around cheering a friend on her first OWS Triathlon at the Bartlett Lake Triathlon. Billed as the hardest Tri in AZ)
Sat: 30min swim (splash) with daughter, then 1.5km swim without!
Sun: 2 hr bike ride
start in Parkrun on 5km distance. And right after long run about 20km in marathon pace :-)
My weekend workout plan is crazy simple, because I’m tapering for the Modesto Marathon. It’s just 7 miles, at marathon pace on Saturday, and rest on Sunday. Chuck in a couple of short runs during the week, and I’ll be ready to hit the start line!

I am just recovering from a knee injury, so I’m taking it slow. I am going for a long walk this weekend in the sunny California weather. Possibly even doing some pool workouts if the temp is still in the 70s and 80’s this weekend. Oh, and the stationary bike in between!

Tonight: chop down two trees and remove some shrubs.
Saturday: Morning bike ride, pitch batting practice to the boy, coach a baseball game.
Sunday: Ice skating with the kids and hopefully an afternoon ride.

Ray, big weekend sixty mile hilly cycle tomorrow, the doing the Dune half marathon on Sunday but cycling 20 mile to the start and home. All good miles in the bank for Ironman Mallorca in September.
