You know that new Garmin Forerunner 610 GPS-enabled touch screen watch that was just announced last week? Well, I’ve got one to giveaway to you – all my best buds!
And the best thing is you’ve got nothing more to do than leave a comment below. Yup, you’re just one comment away from a brand new yet not exactly fully available GPS watch. See, the Forerunner 610 won’t be available at your favorite running store until May 6th, but I’m happy to give one brand new never touched FR610 with the new fangled premium heart rate strap away to you…right now.
So how’d I get one of these rare finds to giveaway? Well, I’ve got friends in high places.
Ok, not really.
I just have friends in Boston. The same Boston that had the Boston Marathon expo this past weekend where a stash of them was for sale. After a few quick phone calls and a FedEx shipment later my friends got me, and thus by extension you, all hooked up!
(P.S. – Did you know there’s also a Boston in Indiana and Georgia? As well as even South Africa and the Philippines. Check out all these crazy alternate Boston cities. Yes, I know, more information than you wanted to know.)
At any rate, all you’ve gotta do down below is tell me any funny Easter stories of your own. For example – did you ever find a plastic egg in the house 9 months later…and were the jelly beans still edible? If you don’t celebrate the bunny, no worries – what’s your planned workout this weekend?
The contest will run until Monday April 25th, 2011 at 11:59PM Eastern Time, at which point I’ll close the entry period. Like the all my giveaways there are no restrictions on where the goods go to – so no matter where in the world you are, I’ll send to you. The winner will get a brand new Garmin Forerunner FR610 (with HR strap). It’ll be sent out Tuesday morning and you should have it a day or so later – more than 10 days ahead of everyone else (except those pesky London and Boston marathon folks…but they don’t count, they’re still limping around from last weekend).
(Note: If you’re active duty military and deployed and are unable to complete the entry method above, simply shoot me an e-mail and I’ll get ya entered in. For those curious on how the giveaways work, here’s the deets. In short – I provide and giveaway everything here, these are not sponsored by Garmin. Thanks all!)

Just chilled with the family on Sunday
First race of the season is Saturday, and this would be a fun time to test the watch myself.
Did a short ride Sunday on a stomach full of ham and mashed red potatoes. Kept them down though!

My planned workout was a 4 mile race in Central Park (NYRR 4 Mile), which I ran with a pace PR!
As for Easter, when I was little, I was fond of leaving carrots out all over the house and yard for the Easter Bunny. :)
Funny easter story? Well, i went for my first outdoor bike training today (first ever!!!) … i’ll let you imagine how it went and that’s the funny part! ;-)
No Easter story from me, but I did spend Easter weekend mountain biking with my husband and son. Saturday was a ride along the Greenbelt in Austin TX followed by a dip in Barton Springs. Sunday was spent pre-riding the course at Juan Pelota Ranch for the 2011 Mellow Johnny’s Spring Classic race which also happens to be part of the Pro XCT Tour and offers the Pro mountain bikers UCI points.
My 10 yr old daughter, knowing the truth about the Easter bunny, went completely insane Saturday night before bed. Once we calmed her down, she tells us she fears a two story tall bunny will be staring in her window. I am not sure if I should be amused or worried. Maybe I’ll catch a glimpse of the creature on my next trains ride…. Pictures to follow. #maybenot
Thanks for all your detailed reviews! I’m training for my second half marathon and trying to decide which GPS watch I want to buy….hoping I win the 610!
Ran 8 on Fri, 10 on Sat with the gf and 7 on Sun. If I win the 610 I plan to give my 2 yr old FR405 to the gf for her upcoming half marathon.
One year left the Christmas lights up and what would you know the colors faded to pastels which were just perfect for Easter.
Sweet, thanks for answering my question in the mail bag…
Count me in! The 610 would be a very nice upgrade to the 210 that I bought after reading your reviews!
TK at 11:01 PM was me….just in case I win :)
Short run on Saturday, short indoor ride Sunday. Finishing up my last week of training for Bloomsday. I think I’m on track for a time around 50 minutes, but we’ll see. A FR610 would be awesome for the marathon training I plan to begin in a couple weeks.
Spent ease morning ride the Amtrak back to kc fro stl, after I rode my bike there on a soggy Katy trail.
just relaxed.
Finally migrated from Polar to Garmin right on time to increase training… Its awesome to be able to get data into different sites and software… Now if I would just get lucky and add an FR610 to the mix :-)
Getting ready to run the Sugarloaf Marathon on May 15th and I’d love to have a 610 on my wrist. Just did my last long run today.
