Reminder: Garmin GPS Rebate through end of November

If you’re looking for an excuse to spend some money and pick up another tri-gadget – here it is!

I heart my Garmin Forerunner GPS.  I use it for swimming, biking and running.  And starting this winter I’ll use it for skiing as well.  Combined with Sport Tracks (free app), I get the coolest data on earth from Sport Tracks (because the stuff that comes with Garmin sucks).  Stuff like cadence, heart rate, elevation, pace, etc…

Given you even know what a blog is – you probably fall into the slightly geeky category.   See…the reality is all Triathletes are a bunch of tech toy nuts – and this is really no different.  Except that you can justify it because it replaces your existing bike computer – so it’s like a 1:1 replacement program (which is generally allowed by the significant other).

At any rate – the deal.  Right now through the end of November – there is a $50/$75 rebate on the Garmin stuff if you sign up for a Powerbar newsletter.  I don’t know about you, but I’m more than happy to give away one of my junk e-mail accounts for $75.  Of course, if you happen to look at my links in this post you can avoid that…. ;)

So, Amazon has it for $205 (but I’m seeing it at a few other places for $200), minus the $50 rebate and you’re talking it’s now $150.  Sue-weet!  And Costco also has it for $179ish (minus the $50 coupon).

Oh – and you may be asking why I didn’t just put this post into the other big long review post?  Well, I wrote this one up a long time ago and just never got around to posting it, so I didn’t feel like ‘wasting’ it.  Kinda like throwing out perfectly good food.

  1. Just to let you know it was me you met at Kiefer last night! How funny is that? Glad the tri shorts worked out for you! Next years (2008) TYR tri shorts have pockets in them, just in case you really like these ones and want to stick with them! Have a great day!

  2. You can swim with your Garmin? I thought they weren’t really waterproof?

  3. Huh, I should catch up on blogs by reading posts in the proper order :-)
