It’s that time of year again. Ahh yes, Halloween you’re thinking. But nope – that’s not what I’m talking about. Rather, it’s fall. And historically, fall has meant the arrival of new GoPro editions. So for this month’s giveaway (ok, it’s been a few months), I’m giving away a new GoPro Hero5! Yup, the one just released a few weeks ago.
Which version you ask? If you want the Hero5 Black, it’s all yours. Or if you prefer things of cube-like shape. Then go forth on the Hero5 Session. Either way, the winner selects their preference. See – I’m all about giving you choice. Unless it involves a Karma drone, then you’ve got no choice (or chance) there. Nobody does. Maybe next month, there’s always a next month, right?
Don’t worry, entry is easy as always. Just answer the below question in the comments section and you’re off to the races. Simple!
To Enter: What’s on the docket this weekend from an athletic/training standpoint?
Yup, it’s that easy! And yes, you can enter no matter where you live. Guadalupe, Ghana, or Georgia – all are OK by me!
Remember that by supporting the site through Clever Training you also can save 10% on basically everything they sell, either using the DCR 10% coupon code of DCR10BTF, or for some products with the VIP points program.
The giveaway entry period will run through October 31st, 2016 until 11:59PM US Eastern Time. Winner will be selected randomly, not on whether your answer is cooler than another. Unless your answer truly is cool.

Think it’s time to set the turbo up indoors and spend an hour trying to get used to the mind-crushing boredom of it all…
Training… Saturday almost always involves the week’s “long run”. Given no specific upcoming race it will probably aim to be ~10 miles or so.
I’d also love to get on the bike at some point for a minimum of an hour. I seem to be a mostly indoor rider now anyway, but with winter coming in MN I may try to squeeze in something outside.
Well, tomorrow I have a group ride to a bakery (80k) and on sunday I am going for a 10k run. Oh and right now I am preparing for a little wellness in the sauna – I mean it’s off-season, so this will be enough from athletic standpoint for today.
This weekend is rest and recovery before starting a new 12 week training program Monday.
Some ridge running, hopefully!
Going out on a couple of short runs.
The usual Saturday long bike ride :)

Larping this weekend
This weekend is a trip to the Penrose Park Velodrome (aka Mr. Bumpyface) in St. Louis for a test lap. I registered for the 100 Miles of Nowhere charity ride they put on over at FatCyclist.com. My tentative plan was to do it at the Velodrome, but I have a couple of concerns. First the nickname (what I’m going to check out this weekend), and second it’s not in the greatest neighborhood (guess also what I’ll be checking this weekend).
Other than that, I’ll be checking to see where some friends are planning on riding and maybe join them.

In the Czech Republic we have really cool autumn. This is time to take a bike and enjoy ride in the mountains. Outdoor gives more and what I love about the doing exercises outside is that you can get dirty. I will definitely go to muddy terrain. Oh yeah, Halloween. This is connected with night hiking on the top of the highest peak of Beskydy mountains, I cannot wait.
