Thanks everyone for entering the giveaway! Apparently quite a few want a new Garmin Forerunner 210! That said there were about 1300 entries after accounting for ways to double-up, into the giveaway, and another bunch from Active Duty folks.
I then took all the entries and sorted through them like I usually do (done in between flights and dinner) to ensure everyone gets the correct number of entries. This means in total 1340 entries. After which, I went the route of simple and used Random.org to generate a number between 1 and 1340. The lucky winner was number 637!
And the winner is Brian!:
Here’s his entry:
Congrats Brian! Please contact me with your shipping info so I can get your new Garmin Forerunner 210 on its way to ya!
For those that didn’t win – don’t worry – you can still go out and pick up your very own little Forerunner 210 and enjoy it keeping you on target for your workouts this holiday season! Don’t want to end up a turkey after all!
The main thing I love about the FR210 over the FR110 is the ability to see instant pace – plus the ability to use the footpods. I think for the vast majority of folks out there, this is the perfect running watch – I can do intervals, as well as just run with a normal looking watch. Plus, for me it’s been great during travelling as my day to day ‘always on my wrist watch’. I’m aiming to have the full blown FR210 review the first week or so of December.
And if you utilize the link above, you help to support more giveaways like this. It’s sorta like recycling: Utilize linkage > More Giveaways > More good stuffs for you. And who’s not doing a little holiday shopping these days?
Thanks all and have a great weekend!
Another contest, another loss 🙁
Enjoy your new watch, Brian!
When is the review coming out?
Thanks as always, Ray, for letting us have fun with the Giveaway, and enjoy your new toy, Brian! Happy training!
woo woo Congrats Brian!! Enjoy and let us all know how you like it!
wondered on your thoughts fr210 vs fr60?
Argh! I’m Mike D!
The 310xt is $100 off at REI through 11/29. Unfortunately, it looks like your review for the 210 won’t be posted until after the sale ends. I realize the 310xt is probably overkill for someone who only runs, but given the price I figure it’s something to consider. So, since the 210 and the 310xt are currently the same price ($299), which would you buy if you were only going to use the watch for running?
Sweet! Thanks Ray for the giveaway. We all enter your raffles but never really expect to win, so this is so cool. I just might attempt a review of the watch after I get used to using it – would you be interested in a reader update?
BTW – it’s great to see all the nice congratulation comments from your readers, there’s a nice community here. 🙂
