Garmin FR910XT Giveaway Results!

IMGP0067

Holy cowbells there’s a lot of you that wanted (or still want) a Garmin FR910XT!

Over 3,000 entries!  3,085 to be exact.

The totals were:

2,664 directly on the post
392 on Facebook
29 tied to Active Duty folks who e-mailed

The Facebook ones weren’t exactly part of the plan, but by time I got home from work that night nearly 400 folks had commented there instead of on the usual post.  So this time I’ll make an exception – it would just seem wrong not to given it’s St. Patrick’s day weekend.  Luck of the Irish sorta thing.

So with that, I fed them all into the magic that is the Random.org calculator, and let it do some work.

Yup, #33 – crazy!

Impressive, the trend continues to be about 50% of the winners are internationally based – in this case, Germany.

For those that are curious, here’s the actual Top-10 country breakdown of unique visitors (i.e., you only count once if you visited 38 times) over the past 30 days:

And, for those that are curious, here’s the bottom 10:

Perhaps I’m the only one that finds stuff like this fun.  Either way, go Team Mayotte and Turkmenistan! (Ok, I just wanted to type out Turkmenistan).

For those that didn’t win – don’t worry – you can still go out and pick up your very own Garmin FR910XT.  And if you utilize the link below, you help to support the blog and thus more giveaways like this. It’s sorta like recycling: Utilize linkage > More Giveaways > More good stuffs for you (and if you’re in Europe, I’ve added a number of the European countries to the sidebar links).

Thanks everyone!  Enjoy the week ahead!

  1. Where does India rank in there?

  2. Ok this is cool: if you divide the number of visitors by the country’s population you can see that the percentage of people following you are roughly the the same for the US as for the Dutch population.

  3. Hi Akshay!

India currently ranks #36, with 1,058 unique visitors in the last 30 days, representing 1.68% of the overall visitors. Sounds like I need to increase my India trips some more!

Sanders – Funny, interesting how that works out, never would have guessed!

  4. Hehehe! Congrats to the lucky winner!

  5. Congrats to the winner and thanks for the awesome giveaway!

    I bought a 910xt this week when I didn’t win 🙂

Dude, combining Australia with New Zealand is just wrong!

  7. You’ve all got funny ascents either way. 😉

Actually, the categories are defined by Google via Google Analytics. It’s a regional thing. The countries themselves are still seperated.

  8. Your post is too beautiful and I really impressed by this blog. Everything is fairly defined in this post. You should continue do this type of post. It’s enjoyable post.
