In general, I love free stuff. Free is generally good. The problem though, is that too often you get free things you don’t really want. You know, like a flyer in the mail for a free car wash if you buy a new car. Which…come to think about it – aren’t usually free at all.
Well, I’m here to change that.
My goal with giveaways is to give back to all you. After all, you read through my musings and ramblings day in and day out – the least I could do for you is to give away some stuff. But I don’t want to just give away random things of little value. I want to go big…and giveaway big things.
I’m often approached by a variety of companies to do giveaways of their products. But usually these are laden with strings that essentially make it a product advertisement, when in the end all you as a reader get is a free brownie. That’s not really my style (of course, if a company approaches wanting to give away really cool stuff…I’m here for ya!).
So how do I giveaway big things? Well, most of the time – I just purchase them myself. I take a portion of the advertising and sponsor revenue from the site, and use it to purchase items to give away. See, when you utilize some of the sponsors on the website, or utilize any of the Amazon links – you help to support giveaways. Pretty simple, ehh?
In most of the cases, my giveaways have no strings or restrictions, and I’ll send the goods to wherever on earth you may be. Be it California, Canada, Croatia or Colombia. I’ll get the goods to ya.
Giveaways are done via pulling names from a hat (quite literally), based on the printed out name listing from the comments section at the time the contest/giveaway ends. Based on the number of entries you qualify for, you get multiple printed entries. I then have someone else go ahead and actually do the name pulling:
In the end, this is my way of saying ‘Thank you’ for reading – I appreciate it!
