It’s back again – Amazon Prime Day…err…Days. That means that most (all?) Amazon country properties are doing pretty substantial deals across the board on all sorts of products for today and tomorrow (July 11th and 12th). This event is held each summer, usually in July, and often this day has better sports tech deals than even Black Friday does (from an Amazon perspective).
In some ways, a July sale date for sports tech items is timed perfectly. See, typically Black Friday deals are for ‘older’ things, rarely the ‘just announced’ stuff that often comes in the late August to October timeframe (especially cycling trainers and watches). But with Amazon Prime Day being in July, there’s more opportunity for brands to put things on sale for a one-off summer day. Typically speaking though, don’t expect to see things on sale that were announced this year.
To take advantage of Amazon Prime Days you simply need to be an Amazon Prime member. The good news is that you can sign-up for the free trial and cancel later if you don’t find value in it. Just hit up this giant banner below to do so:
I’ve organized all the best sports technology Amazon Prime Days deals (and a few others I’ve found) below in the tables by category. I’ll be updating them throughout the next two days. Keep in mind not all deals last (in fact, most don’t). So if you see something that’s hot, I’d strongly suggest buy now (and return later if need be).
With that, onto the deals! And thanks for supporting the site via the links below. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Enjoy!
Europe Folks Note: This year almost *ALL* of the watch/cycling deals you’ll see in the main lists are available in Europe too! So you can click on those links and it’ll theoretically redirect to the correct Europe store. For the most part, the %-off are the same (a first!). I’m also adding in Europe-only/unique deals to the bottom Europe section too.
Watches & Wearables:
This covers anything you can wear that’s watch-like or activity band-like, including sensors. Generally speaking, you’ll mostly find deals here that are on things I’ve written about in the past. So you won’t find a deal on some random non-sports tech watch here, or on socks. Unless the socks have some crazy sensor or something in them.

![]() | AmazFit T-Rex 3 - $40 off | $240 | Amazon
![]() | Apple AirPods 4 - $60 off! | $119 | Amazon
![]() | Apple Watch SE (2022/2nd gen) - $100 off $249/$299 (cellular) | $169 | Amazon | It's really hard to beat $169 for an Apple Watch. Again, like the other Apple units on this list, the SE3 was announce last month - which adds an Always-on Display, among other features. But at $169 with otherwise all the same software features as the higher-end Apple Watch units, this continues to be one of the best deals in smartwatches out there. |
![]() | Apple Watch Series 10 - $120 off $399/$499 (cellular) | $279 | Amazon | With the Series 11 out last month, you'll see sales on the Series 10. That said, there isn't a huge difference between Series 11 and Series 10. So if you were looking at the Apple Watch SE3, this might be worth grabbing instead for the added features. |
![]() | Apple Watch Ultra 2 Black Titanium - $150 off | $649 | Amazon | With the new Apple Watch Ultra 3 announced last month, it's time to clear some Ultra 2 inventory. This is pretty much the 'normal' sale price for the Ultra 2. |
![]() | Garmin Epix Pro - $250 off! $899/$999 | $499 | Amazon | ⚡ This is avery solid deal! The Epix Pro has the latest optical HR sensor in it, and thus has full ECG support as well. Note, this is for a 'renewed' model. In Garmin lingo, it means it went back to the (same) factory in Taiwan, and went back to the assembly line and is effectively a new watch again. I wouldn't have any concerned with a renewed model, but some might. |
![]() | Garmin Venu X1 - $100 off! | $699 | Amazon | This is the first time we've seen the Venu X1 on sale, since it came out this past summer. This is a good deal, though, I do wonder if it indicates the original pricing wasn't quite right here. |
![]() | Google Pixel Watch 3 (45mm) - $70 OFF | $229 | Amazon | The newer Pixel Watch 4 came out last month, and will start shipping this week. I see the Pixel Watch 4 as a pretty substantial hardware upgrade over the Pixel Watch 3, notably due to satellite SOS, as well as a user-replaceable battery. Still, this is a solid deal. |
![]() | Polar H10 Chest Strap (Dual ANT+/Bluetooth Smart) - $15 off $89 | $84 | Amazon
![]() | Polar Verity Sense - 15% off $99 | $82 | Amazon | I use this as one of my reference devices for heart rate accuracy testing. |
![]() | Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) - $100 off! | $549 | Amazon
![]() | Samsung Galaxy Watch8 - $35 off | $314 | Amazon
![]() | Suunto Run - $50 off! $249 | $199 | Amazon | This is a very solid deal. It's got virtually all the software features of Suunto's higher-end watches (minus the app store), and just came out this past May. |
![]() | Suunto Vertical - $120 off! | $379 | Amazon | While the new Suunto Vertical 2 just came out last week, if you wanted to stock-up on MIP-based display watches before they disappear, here's your chance. |
![]() | Wahoo TRACKR Heart Rate Sensor - $15 off $89 | $84 | Amazon |
Cycling Gear & Trainers:
Got a bike? Then this section is for you. Everything from bike computers to bike lights to trainers, it’s all here. I won’t generally be adding things like brake cables or bike seats here, but if I find a good deal on a cassette to stack on that new direct drive trainer you just bought, I’ll probably list it here.

![]() | Garmin Edge 540 - $73 off | $267 | Amazon | ⚡At $267, it's pretty much impossible to beat this deal in terms of bike computers. There's no competitive option that beats it on features/battery/etc at this price, or frankly anywhere near it. Sure, it doesn't have a touchscreen, but it's not as bad as it used to be (I did a stint on it this winter for a week or so, and was fine). |
![]() | Garmin Varia Radar (RTL515) - $50 off | $149 | Amazon | This is Garmin's standalone radar+taillight option, and $149 is pretty much the standard sale-price. Even despite all the new radars out there, this remains the most accurate option on the market. Now, only if Garmin would just re-release it with USB-C. C'Mon Garmin... |
![]() | Wahoo ACE Cycling GPS - $90 off! $599 | $531 | Amazon
![]() | Wahoo BOLT V2 - $30 off $279 | $237 | Amazon
![]() | Wahoo ROAM V3 - $70 off! | $395 | Amazon | This is the first time we've seen the ROAM V3 on sale (notably the BOLT V3 is not on sale, though the larger ACE is). |
And then here’s a separate bucket for trainers and indoor bikes:

![]() | Wahoo KICKR 2022/V6 - $155 off! $1,299 | $894 | Amazon | ⚡This is actually the lowest price we've ever seen on the KICKR V6. Wahoo says we won't see a new top-end KICKR this fall, with them instead focusing on the new KICKR Bike Pro, KICKR CORE 2, and all their new bike computers/radar/etc... |
![]() | Wahoo KICKR Core Smart Trainer - $75 off! $499 | $427 | Amazon | This is basically the lowest price we've ever seen for this trainer as far as I know. It's still a very solid trainer, and the cornerstone to the new Zwift Ride bike as well (it uses the KICKR CORE as the base). It works with the Wahoo KICKR CLIMB too. |
![]() | Wahoo KICKR ROLLR - $130 off $599 | $569 | Amazon |
Action Cameras & Drones:
Wanna record it? No better way than an action camera. Anything that’s action camera-related or drone-related you’ll find here. That’s especially true of action camera mounts, which are often found for great deals around the holidays. Same goes with drones and drone accessories. Usually a great time to pick up an extra battery or extra props.

![]() | DJI Mini 4K Drone - $60 off | $239 | Amazon | If you're looking to get into flying with a DJI drone, this is a solid place to start. Of course, moreso than that, the days are very limited for how much longer you can actually buy at DJI drone in the US. So, grab them while you can. |
![]() | DJI NEO - $30 off! | $159 | Amazon | This is the lowest price on this drone, and is a great option if you want a follow-me drone that's pretty hard to kill, at a price point that's still super reasonable. |
![]() | DJI OSMO 360 - $137 off | $412 | Amazon | NOTE: This is not sold by DJI directly via Amazon. DJI itself is NOT selling the OSMO 360 in the US, and WILL NOT support/repair it in the US. That said, it's a solid deal if you're ok with those risks. |
![]() | GoPro Hero 13 Black - $50 off | $349 | Amazon
![]() | GoPro Hero 13 Black Bundle (extra battery/SD card/floaty) - $100 off! | $379 | Amazon | ⚡ This is a very solid deal. It's a Hero 13 Black on discount, but then an extra battery tossed in, then an SD card, and then a floaty. |
![]() | GoPro Hero 4K - $20 off | $199 | Amazon | While the new Hero Lit was announced a few weeks back, which includes a front LED light, for the most part it's the same camera inside. Note I'll have a full comparison shortly though between the GoPro Hero Lit, DJI OSMO Nano, and Insta360 Go Ultra. |
![]() | Insta360 X5 360* Action Cam - $50 off! | $499 | Amazon |
Other Sports & Fitness:
Anything else that’s sports and fitness related that I think is interesting will be here. It may not be super techy – but it’s stuff that most readers will be using in pursuit of their running/cycling/swimming/hiking/whatever.

![]() | Garmin inReach 2 Mini Satellite Communicator (2-way) - $40 off | $360 | Amazon | This is a pretty small deal for this product. This is my defacto satellite communicator when out of coverage area, and I've used it on a number of major treks over the past two years when well outside of cellular service, both in a 24x7 tracking mode for friends and family, but also there in case of emergency. Would strongly recommend for anyone doing anything in the wilderness. |
![]() | Garmin inReach Messenger Plus - $100 off! | $399 | Amazon | This came out last fall, and is the second time this has been discounted. The key difference with the new Plus model is that it adds the ability to send photos and voice messenges via satellite. I've used it a bit, and it's pretty cool because it makes it a lot faster to just say something rather than type it out, but the $499 price seemed excessive. $399 makes it slightly more palatable. |
European Deals!
What’s that? You’re not in the US and still want a deal? No problem! Note that on Amazon Europe deals, generally speaking, you can order from any Amazon European country site (i.e., Amazon France) and have it shipped within the EU (i.e., Spain). Thus, many times deals are duplicated across the sites. I generally try and just distill it down to one.
This year almost *ALL* of the watch/cycling deals you’ll see in the main lists are available in Europe too! So you can click on those links and it’ll theoretically redirect to the correct Europe store. For the most part, the %-off are the same (a first!). Still, some of the links above break because Amazon uses umpteen million different SKU codes and aren’t aligned between Amazon countries. Thus you can try the above first, and if it fails, then just type it in manually.
Remember, these deals refresh each day for the most part, and usually only last a few hours. Jump if you see something you like!
There are no deals currently.
DCR Random Gadget List:
This is basically the mostly totally unrelated gadgets and things I think are cool deals that I’ve likely bought one or five of (you can never have too many, right)? Some of it’s probably photography stuff. Some of it’s random stuff like chargers and battery packs that I use daily, fun camera gear I use to make videos like sliders and turntables, and well…just random things you’ll find around the DCR Cave. It’s all random…but it’s all awesome randomness!

![]() | Amazon Echo Dot Kids - 42% off | $34 | Amazon | Despite being a tech-focused dude, our kids don't actually get much tech in their lives. However, we got these two years ago for them in their rooms, to play music. They do lots of other things, but our kids mostly just use it to play music (from Spotify and Apple Music too), and occasionally they ask it questions. It has all the parental controls I want, so it locks it down from bedtime/etc...For $34? Solid deal (The coolest 'nice touch' feature is that if you whisper to it, it'll whisper back...in the owl kids voice it has.) |
![]() | Apple 11" iPad - (Wi-Fi, 128GB) - $70 off! | $279 | Amazon | ⚡ This is an awesome deal. I use my iPad primarily for TrainerRoad as well as Zwift when not with a larger display. I also occasionally use it for other apps, namely Indievelo, Kinomap, Rouvy, and Peloton. But I pretty much test every smart trainer app on it. For all these cycling apps, the graphics capabilities is really pretty irrelevant, so having the absolute top-end/latest model won't make any difference. I prefer the budget options. |
![]() | Sony Alpha 7 IV Full-frame Mirrorless Camera w/ 28-70mm Zoom - $400 off | $2,398 | Amazon | This is the main camera I use for still photography and video b-roll. I recently wrote about all the photography gear I use, linked at side here. |
With that – thanks for reading, and for supporting the site via the links above.

Anyone seeing the $30 coupon for the Garmin Varia RCT715? Not seeing it on the product page or in my cart or anything.
Never mind, found it! Have to click on “other purchase options” to find the right listing with the coupon.
Is the Epix Gen 2, at $600, a better recommendation than the FR 965 at the same price?
Ray, I have the Ooni 16 inch wood fire pizza oven, LOVE IT!!!!
There is definitely a learning curve with dialing in how long to heat it up, how much flame, etc. If you’ve never used a wood fire pizza oven before, then it will take some practice and don’t be surprised if you ruin and burn a few pies before getting it right. Good thing pizza ingredients are cheap!
GoPro’s website has the Hero 11 for $349, including an extra battery & SD card w/o joining or $299 if you’re a GoPro member
Just ordered the Hammerhead Karoo 2 from their website with a promo code that gets you one of their HR monitors for free!
Great price on the 1030.
Quick question… Are there features on the 1040(s) that have NOT makes they’re way to the 1030?
…stupid mobile typos
nm, deal is gone.
De Garmin Edge 130+ is a very good deal also: just € 125 in Europe.
Amazon raised the 1030 Plus’ price to $489.
Garmin has it for $309.99 on their website right now.
Generally speaking, throughout the history of Amazon Prime Day and Amazon Black Friday deals with Garmin specifically, we often see this deal come back within a few mins/hours. It’s almost as if they sold through their allotment, and then need to ring-up Garmin to see if they can get another slice at that price (which, is seriously, how this actually works in some cases).
I’d keep checking the link, I’d bet it’ll be back soon…
Garmin themselves have it for $309 link to garmin.com
The deal is back up and I went through Ray’s link to buy it. Thanks Ray!
Anyone going in on the DJI mini pro 3? Seems like a great deal in the UK
Tried to get on it here in Australia. DJI are offering no discounts at all :(
I see the Forerunner 745 for 279.99, seems like quite a deal (lower than the camelcamelcamel lowest)
The Amazon (US) listing for the Garmin Varia RCT715 shows “Bicycle radar” for $349.99 and “Bicycle Radar + seat post mount kit” for $389.08. Pretty sure the RCT715 comes with the same seat post mount kit as shown in the more expensive option. Is that an additional mount kit, on top of what’s already included?
Also look for a Prime Day deal on the Garmin 745 ($125 off). Nice price
The Euro AirTags Are already unavailable
Unfortunately not many of those deals you have listed, made it across to Australia.
Here are my best finds on 2 Garmin watches:
Fenix 7: from $1349 down to $861 (-36%, best I could find and better what you have listed)
Epix Pro (gen2): from $1740 down to $1388
Polar Ignite 3 is also 24% off
link to amazon.de
Welp, I guess I saved myself almost $700 after tax. Best Prime Day ever!
Saw the 1030+ and Varia RCT deals this morning before I even checked DCR. Started looking at comparisons vs 1040 to see if I could live with the older model, got distracted by work, and now both deals are gone. Fair enough, will continue on just using my Fenix 7X mounted to the handlebars instead. :)
Has Garmin made enough updates to firmware or app so the Radar/Camera combo unit is acceptable now?
Would also love to know if the Garmin Varía 715 has improved firmware enough to make accessing video useful.
I still find accessing video clips via the app cumbersome, but since I want to do any viewing and editing on my computer anyway, it’s really no big deal to hook the unit up via USB C cable to browse and find the clips I might want which are time and date stamped.
They have added things like being able to not only have the time, date, GPS location and cycling speed embedded on the video, they now have the speed of the approaching car. Video is fine – was quite handy a couple weekends back to review exactly what happened when one in my cycling group unfortunately hit a curb in a paceline, falling and breaking a hip while a couple following riders went over the top of him.
The Withings Body+ is £59.95 on Amazon UK, but is it worth spending a bit more and getting the newer but equivalent Body Smart? I don’t recall seeing reviews of them here but fully concede that I may have missed them!
Currently have the WS-50 which still works well enough so continuing with that is also an option. Thoughts?
Hey Ray, What are the brands and models of the two watches you are wearing in your Prime Day YouTube video? Thank you
Garmin Epix Pro was the black one, and Apple Watch Ultra was the orange one.
$699 Epix is gone.
I still show the $599 and $699 Epix deals are live. Here’s the direct link to the $699 one (remember, white sapphire only): link to amzn.to
I cannot find the Garmin Edge 1030 Plus deal, does it mean it is out of stock?
You can get it from the Garmin site (US) for $310.
The Samsung T7 Shield 4TB disk is also half off ($199 down from $429) on Amazon. It’s a rugged version of the T7.
I got a real bargain on a Forerunner 255… I’ve been thinking of getting one for a while, as the battery on my 645 runs down pretty quickly these days. The initial Prime price went down to £249, which I’ve seen other retailers (including Garmin) offer it at. Then it came down to £238 and I put it in my basket but slept on it. When I looked again on the second day of the sale it was sitting in my basket at £208, despite following the link back to the product description and seeing it still at £238. I hit the “buy” button pronto and it’s arrived today.
OTOH I did buy a POC helmet in the prime sale but it’s still the same price today, as are a couple of other things I considered but was able to resist impulse purchases. .
In the UK, the Epix Sapphire Black Titanium is available for £599 at John Lewis
Not looking for a deal, but I believe you posted somewhere about the battery pack you use when you are shooting remotely and I can’t find it anywhere. Am I crazy or just not looking hard enough?
Not sure if this was posted anywhere but Running Warehouse has Epix 51 mm and 42 mm for an additional $100 off on top of the $200 discount.
FYI I just saw on the Wahoo site they’re selling the KICKR Core KOM bundle for ~$660 in the US, that’s a KICKR Core and a KICKR Climb. Amazing deal considering REI has the Climb on sale for $559!
