Something look funny? Read this newsletter online!

Hello, and Happy December!

This is The Girl writing to you for the DCR weekly newsletter. If this is your first time checking in on the newsletters, then you’re way behind, and need to go HERE to catch up! Ray still hasn’t reclaimed the newsletter, but DID buy me a new laptop! So I guess that means I’m sticking around, or that Ray was tired of being harassed by my text messages… I’ll tell you that story down in the “The Girl” section below!

On with the show!

Our household is still reeling from last week’s crazy holiday shopping deals (deals which are still happening by the way, keep checking this page). Ray was on permanent Amazon, Clever Training, and interwebs watch in efforts to keep all of you readers informed of big sales. Because of this, I think his dedication to hammering out more reviews before the holidays was hindered. Thus, for the most part of the end of last week, this weekend, and yesterday I couldn’t find my husband. Apparently he was hiding in his DCR Lair and managed to smack out 5 videos since the last newsletter (a solid upgrade from his measly 1 from the week before..smh).

You can find all of them on his DC Rainmaker YouTube Channel. By the looks of people’s comments, the Stryd Running Power meter video seemed to be of the most interest. I would say I had to stop watching the video out of jealously that he was throwing down 5:30 Minute/Mile intervals while maintaining a chat on camera. No problem, that’s pretty casual. Again…smh.

Along with all of the video productions and editing he also managed an in-depth review, and another four posts. In case you haven’t seen them yet, they are all conveniently listed just below for you to peruse.

One blog post, or shall I say blog page, that you definitely haven't seen yet is posted HERE, and I wrote it! It's a page on all of the baby goodness we use around here, some of you asked for it so go forth and enjoy! If browsing baby stuff isn't quite up your alley, don't worry about it, Rays still posting lots of gadgetry!

If you are still left sitting there at work in your cubicle, on the bus, waiting room, or wherever you are tuning in from, with time to kill, keep scrolling to the bottom of the newsletter. You can find my harassing texts to Ray, Maker household updates, and a Christmas recipe!

In Depth Thoughts from the Girl

I see you had more time to kill. Thanks for joining me down here below the fold! As I eluded to earlier, Ray has yet to kick me off of newsletter duties! It seems positive I will be keeping my status as “Official Newsletter Writer” for another while to come, as on Cyber Monday a new laptop was purchased in my name! I believe the new laptop was purchased more so because of the text message rant Ray recieved, rather than the success of the newsletter, regardless I’ll take the win!… Please pardon my foul language. Tisk Tisk.

And thus… I won myself a new laptopJ Boom, winner winner! Poor ol’ Ray, I think I remembered to say thank-you? If not, “Thanks Ray!”

Moving on. The last week or so in our house has been a bit crazy, not only because of Black Friday/ Cyber Monday chaos, but because our little peanut has decided that daddy’s busiest time of year would also be a great time for her to dabble in sleep regression. And by sleep regression I mean, stringent protests. What starts as adorable eye rubbing with her chubby little fists, turns into a not so well choreographed crescendo of babble-screams and alligator tears. I think by the time Sunday night rolled around Ray was considering selling her. I on the other hand, tried playing for her the wise words of Morgan Freeman. Didn’t work. But I had a good laugh anyways. End tired mom rant.

Lastly, a few newsletter readers have sent emails my way! Thanks! And some kindly requested my cupcake recipes… sorry. No can do. However, since it is December and I love the holidays, and all of the sugar packed goodies they entail, I will share with you one of my favorite Christmas cookies! I usually pack these up and give as little present add-ons. Super simple to make and a nice change from chocolate chip.

See ya next week!
