Something look funny? Read this newsletter online!

Hello again!

This is The Girl writing to you for the DCR weekly newsletter. I am super proud to announce that I now hold the official title of “Newsletter Writer”. After making it three weeks in a row, it seems you guys actually like hearing a different Maker voice! Woohoo. I definitely thought Ray would have kicked me off of his computer by now, or just simply changed the passwords! I guess he’s going to keep letting it slide for now! So in case you have missed out on the last few weeks you can get up to speed HERE. And if you read the last few weeks and came back for more… Thanks!

On with the show!

Last week was turkey week. So that basically equals complete and total chaos for Ray. He spent all week making giant posts for you guys on all of the stuff that he uses and recommends. As well, the man wore out the refresh button on the internet trying to keep your pocket books healthy by providing a continuously updated Black Friday/ Cyber Monday page. Since he was managing the wild wild west of shopping deals for his readers, he only managed to get out one video. Although it’s a pretty cool one. It’s a 360 degree video of him descending a mountain road in the Canary Islands. I killed a good 6 minutes using the little hand to swirl around the view! I guess you can also appreciate that I like this video because it’s a whole lot better than watching his last bike video whereby he crashed his bike - helmetless, in the woods of bear country, nearing sunset, alone… Don’t worry, the man got an ear full from me after than one! Tail between his legs for days! Of course, you can always check out for yourself what he has going on in the video department on his DCR YouTube Channel.

Now, if you still have time left after clicking on all of those links, and you want to know more about the life and times of me “The Girl” Keep scrolling to the bottom of the screen. In the past readers have shown interest in me, the gear I use, and girl specific sport questions. So if that’s up your alley, keep scrolling.

In Depth Thoughts from the Girl

What a crazy week we had last week! My dad was in town from Canada and we did all kinds of good stuff. Starting off with me getting the all-clear for getting back to running! Since Ray was slammed all week with work, my dad was more than happy to have some Grampie-Granddaughter time while I went out and pounded the pavement on 3 different days! Now, I say “running” but it was more like a slow saunter for 2.5 miles. Normally I would be pretty hard on myself for those efforts, but I cannot tell you how happy I was on while out running! My level of care for how far or how fast was non-existent! Just. Felt. So. Good!

However, I do think I’m going to need new running shoes! I think my little feet took a bit of a beating during the pregnancy and they managed to grow half a size (or my arches just flattened out a little?). Regardless, they are a wee bit tight. Other than that… no complaints!

Having an extra set of hands this week allowed me to finish the “Baby Gear” post I have been working on. Ray is currently making it look pretty with pictures, and probably censoring my crazy mom rants about the amount of crap that is sold to moms. But I think it’s a good list especially if you’re looking for ideas for an expectant momma, these are things we actually use, love, can’t live without.

Finally, if you follow me on Instagram you’ll already know that we visited the big Wine Show this weekend past. Waaaayohhh, we bought ourselves a hefty amount of wine as a little pre-Christmas present! That delivery should arrive this week, making for an interesting newsletter for next week!

With that, I’m off to enjoy the last day of my dad’s visit. Thanks for reading. As always, any comments or questions for me, the email is at the bottom of the page.
