Last year at Eurobike and Interbike we saw new brands announced – like 4iiii and WatTeam, and this year we’ve seen those brands start shipping or being on the verge of shipping. … Disadvantages: Crank arm selection has diminished some with SRAM acquisition (reducing compatibility), and while Spring 2015 pricing updates has made things substantially more competitive, they are still on the higher end of the sale between Power2Max, PowerTap C1, and themselves.

They had the head unit (controller) on hand within their booth this year at Interbike, and were able to explain some of the direction they’re headed in. … Note that RacerMate did confirm that anyone who buys a CompuTrainer between now and when the new head unit launches in November 2015, will be covered for getting a new controller.
