I had the same problem as you. I cleaned the contacts of the charger and the MP3 player with alcohol (for desinfection purposes). My PC did recognize the MP3 player again and I was able to add some more music. I hope this works for you too. Please let me know.

Kind regards,

Annemie

I swim at least 5 days a week… but… had issues getting the finis icon on my computer screen.. It did not happen.. wanted to add more music and take some out… I managed to get the icon once after multiple tries.. but.. it does not turn on.. is fully charged and I think the unit itself is heating up.. it feels very warm to the touch
Help… the number on the set is 162014
I hope you can give me a solution
thank you

BOSE = Buy Other Sound Equipment. No highs? No lows? Must be BOSE. =D

I wanted to ask about earplugs, I use the Speedo silicone plugs when I swim, with these headphones sitting in front of the ear on the cheek, does this mean your ear canal is fully accessible to use ear plugs?

Very thorough review, I swim 3200m a few times/week (128 X 25m) and while I often enjoy the sounds of the water splashing by and having time to ponder various thoughts, the idea of having some musical companionship has long been intgriguing. This one sounds like a winner.

EDIT – just saw this post 1/2 way down the page from Joy which sounds very positive for me: “I should note that I also use triple flange reusable silicone earplugs to keep water out. The difference in sound quality and volume is marked with plugs in vs. out. I believe Finis encourages use of plugs to maximize the Neptune’s potential. I agree and am happy it’s already a habit for me.”

Also…Defender of the Crown, Paradroid, Sid Meier’s Pirates!, Law of the West, Pitstop II and any of the Epxy “Games” series (Winter, California, Summer, Summer II) were all faves on the C=64, also Loderunner.

Both stopped working. The MP3 is not worth the money or time spent. The sound system is best out there at this time but worthless without the MP3 player working longer then 3 months.

I am really upset right now with their customer support. I hope Ray takes note of this to consider Finis attitude for future recommendations. Should I have known their ways I wouldn’t have bought from them. Here is my case: I’ve got a faulty NeptuneMp3 and they don’t plan to cover it under warranty and just offered me to buy their new mp3 with a little reduction in price but asking me to pay for postal, custom and duty expenses from USA!! ( because they’re from the States) forgetting that they sold me their product within the EU, so if they sell here, EU laws apply and they have to respond to their customers here.
If they do not change their attitude I am going to take legal action backed by EU legislation.
