So, aside from the 910XT it appears we’ll have 3 new multi-sport watches coming out soon (TomTom, Suunto, and Bryton). Only this one purports to have 15 hour battery life in GPS mode; I hope it truly does.
Are there any plans to sell the Bryton in the USA or North America? Their website shows no distribution at all.
They are currently looking to introduce availability sometime this summer, to the US.
I gotta think Garmin aren’t done yet with their 910xt firmware updates with all these tri specific watches due to come out such as the Bryton and the already released Ambit 2 (s).
For Garmin to at least have an update with a everyday watch mode and perhaps the much requested Tempe sensor integration with the 910xt might keep people happy till the next latest greatest Garmin tri watch comes out next year.
What do you think the chances of a new firmware update are with more bells and whistles for the 910xt?
Pretty low. I don’t expect Tempe integration, nor any new features. I think we’ll just see bug fixes at this point.
Hi. Have you tested with any Power meter? In fact, does it support?
It does not support power meters.
Hi. Does it allow you to upload and follow gps routes like Garmin 310 or 910?

Hey Ray, I know you haven’t completed your review yet, but what are your initial findings on battery life? During the North Face 50 miler mine crapped out right near the finish at 11 hours. Sadly this isn’t quite the 14 hours that was advertised, but I know the GPS kept going in and out during the first 15 miles so I feel that may have something to do with it. Thanks as always for the great website!
I haven’t seen too many issues with battery life, but I also haven’t been anywhere near 11 hours though (in one shot).
How many people on the planet and you seem to be the only person doing ‘proper’ reviews. ie not just bits copied out of the manual mixed up with vendor promo blurb, & promo photos. You add new information; excellent! I am waiting on your review to see if the Bryton cardio 40 will work for me. And I don’t think I am the only one. It is a lot of money, the watch needs to be good!-)

I currently have it targeted for roughly in the next two weeks. Just balancing a few other reviews all coming in at once. In the immediate pipe are: Basis B1 watch, Cardio 60, FINIS Neptune. All converging together.
+1 more for the bryton 40H. On paper in lookx like a garmin crusher- but will the real life test be so one sided??
I own a Bryton Cardio60 for about 3 months now. No I owned two of them and I don’t think there is gonna be a third one. My first one died within two months because of a water leakage. The second one, I recieved from guarantee, died within 4 weeks, because of the same problem.
The first one blanked out immediatly, but the screen kept lighting up and I could recover the data. The second one first showed somewhat misted inside when in the sun. This was the precursor for another water leakage in a short time. I think this one was more worse, because water was leaking out from the buttons at the side of the watch and I think it short-circuit inside because the outside of the watch stayed warm for several hours. It is plain dead now.
This second watch had also an update problem. I couldn’t update the software of the watch it didn’t receive. The first watch had no problems at all. Bryton wanted to help me with remote acces to my computer, but it died before the could…
Because this is my second time I think Bryton has a serious problem with it’s water tightness. It could also be that my watch is form a bad production serie that has been sent to the Netherlands and my supplier has more of them in stock…
It’s a pity because it is a nice and small watch, better than the plumb 910XT with almost all it’s functionality (or this is coming soon with updates) for a smaller price!
So Ray wim really often and hard with this watch for a good test! In the meantime I will contact Bryton about these problems I have experienced and keep you and the others updated!
